It's a pitty people are having problems with SGP customer service. I have used them a bunch of times and never had any problems.:(

In fact when I ordered the leather back I forgot to include my order of the oleophobic screens, so made another order.

To my surprise both orders came in the one package.:)

Anyone else received their leather backs yet? Mine should be here tomorrow. Just wondering if there are any other reviews on it.

I've seen some controversial info about the teardrop cut out on the back for the flash/camera. Is the teardrop cut out ok for the black leather version?

Here's the thing, SGP claims the teardrop is only an issue with the white backing due to it's reflective qualities (based off reading replies within this thread). On the other hand if you read threads about the black carbon backing, the teardrop is claimed to cause minor issues with the flash.

....so deductive reasoning suggests that it is potentially an issue with the teardrop design and not the color of the backing (although the color may exasperate it more or less depending if it is black or white).

In summary, I made sure to state that I wanted the updated (oval) cut out as indicated in their updated web pics (in the notes) when I placed my order (which is enroute). We'll see I guess.

Finally, I wouldn't get too excited about it. If it's the same material they use for their laptops, it's just a textured sticker...no where near real leather

mine's on the way..... if i don't have the updated, oval version i'll be asking for a replacement....

I'm completely aware that it isn't real leather...just describing it, since others have talked about different skins (like the carbon one) in here too.

I Was

Until i received my package and was only furious to find that there was NO skin-guard just the screen protector, cloth and bubble-remover. Everything but the Leather skin-gaurd. I e-mailed them yesterday asking for another one to be sent ASAP and Still no reply. Theres no excuse for this happening. I will never be ordering from this company again. BUYER BEWARE

Got mine today from another seller on this forum that didn't want his and I must say I'm very impressed. In the last few weeks I noticed numerous hairline scratches on the back of my phone when held in the right light. Now rocking the orange bumper with the black leather skin and I really like the look of the phone. I'll try and post some pictures later on.

btw, I have the teardrop cutout but I placed the skin a fraction of a millimeter more to the right so that there is plenty of room around the flash and doesn't get in the way. With the edges covered up by the bumper you can't tell it's a little bit off center.

Well its been a week now with no email response to my many emails.

I'm never going to order from them again..

BUYERS BEWARE!!

Just received my black leather-ish one a few minutes ago. It is insanely thin. For some reason, I felt like the thickness would be similar to the Wrapsol Ultra's thickness (based on photos I've seen of it), but this thing is like paper thin.

Initially, I was wavering on if I would try and place this over my Wrapsol Ultra skin, or if I would remove the Wrapsol back to place this on. Based on its super thin look and feel, I'm definitely going to try just putting it on top of the Ultra. Will let you guys know how it goes...

Also, just wanted to confirm, mine has the teardrop cut out for the camera/flash. Will also let you guys know if I see any affect from flash bouncing off of it.

Ok just installed mine. Even with the teardrop cut out, my flash isn't affected. I took before and after shots and they look basically identical.

It looks good over the Wrapsol Ultra (and the bumper still fits with both...and I didn't have a loose bumper to begin with), and I like knowing that the Apple logo is protected from scratches too. I also like that I have the extra drop protection under the black skin.

The adhesive on the back of this thing means BUSINESS! It sticks like crazy, so an error in positioning, is a pain! I started trying to position with the camera and then work down to the apple logo and had to peel the top centimeter or so up twice. Both times I did this it was really tough to pull back up and it completely pulled up half of my Wrapsol Ultra skin, so I had to squeegee it back down and then try to reposition the SGP skin guard.

Once I finally got it down and put my bumper back on, I realized it was shifted about 1 mm to the right so there was a sliver of glass (Wrapsol) shining through on the left side. That kind of annoyed me, so I've been messing with it and have been able to shift it back over by just using my hands to push it across the phone. Not really easy to do, but you can move it ever so slightly. My guess, however, is that I'm actually just moving the Wrapsol skin under the SGP skin, but nonetheless it did the trick and I am happier with how it looks more even now!

Just got mine today as well. Has the teardrop cut out even though I requested the oval. Glad to hear that it does not affect flash. Wonder why people with the carbon backing are having issues?

Not sure! Doesn't the carbon have a bit of a sheen to it? If so, maybe that has something to do with it since the leather style is completely matte? Who knows!

I have Wrapsol Ultra on my phone, do you mind posting some pictures of what putting the leather skin on top looks like?

Yes, I'll post some on Sunday when I get home and can upload some photos. I've been really happy with it so far!

So I put this on and an oleophobic for the front. Then took them off cause I didn't like the look.:(

Damn you iP4 why do you look so sexy naked!?
