They are obnoxious, not amusing whatsoever, and don't even do a good job of highlighting the features. I'm embarrassed whenever they come on.

Actually I find them to be quite comical with Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon. The only weird thing is if Apple hadn't mentioned it was them during the keynote I'm not sure I would either recognize or pay attention to their voices enough to know it was them. But otherwise very classy ad, unlike Samsung's usual junk ads bashing the iPhone 6. I would rather see Apple's iPhone 6 ads than Samsung's bashing ones.

I was afraid maybe I had so lost my grasp on reasonable that I was the only one who felt the new ads pathetic. Nice to know I'm not entirely alone.

To me, it just sounds like you are just trying to find something that people on this forum haven't complained about yet. Next, people are gonna try whining about how the corners of the iPhone are too rounded, or that the speaker holes are a millimeter too close together (I am not saying that either of those are true, just pointing out that people can find really stupid things to complain about).

Anyways, the commercial did its job...it certainly caught your attention.

The only one that makes me uncomfortable is the one where they're singing. Other than that, I don't have a problem with any of them.

Apple hasn't put out a funny commercial since the mac/pc commercials. However, funny commercials are not very effective. Make them too funny, and people forget what product was being shilled.

capitalizing on popular culture now...this is not the apple of the 90s

I do find them a bit... silly... for lack of a better term. I don't think they're "terrible" though. They show off the different features of the 6. With Samsung's wallhugger ad, the iPhone has more screen time than their own Galaxy S5. Also, like stated above, the iPhone doesn't even need a "good" commercial, or a commercial at all. It sold 10 million opening weekend, and what was it... an additional 4 million reservations in China already? Apple can afford to be as lame/silly/quirky as they want.
