LOL

I probably won't "show it off" but I'll use it as normal (and it's usually out a lot) so some people will probably notice...

I don't know, why would you think people would notice? I mean I like gadgets as much as the next person but I never notice anyone's phone. I did have a coworker who would always try to show off his latest phone and it was kind of awkward. I mean, what do you say other than "that's nice"?

i remember when the iphone 4 came out, i had one first day to... people were drooling over it asking how i got(my friends) but i think it wont be like this with the 5, since the 4 was such a crazy upgrade from the 3gs. but i did have a bunch of people ask me how i got the iphone 5 and they couldnt ? /shrug

Wirelessly posted

Just a phone and why would you want to show off? Nobody really cares but I have seen a $10k tag hauer phone custom made before and I think thats more like showing off. For an iPhone, it's nothing more than just a tool and I bet almost everyone outside does have an iPhone. It's pretty common if you ask me.

I remember when I got the iPhone 4, I went out to bars/clubs with my friends in San Francisco and I got a lot of head turns whenever I took out my iPhone

I love having the latest in technology first and other people noticing it and being jelly. I remember when I brought the original iPad to school before anyone else really had it and I couldn't be left alone for a minute without people coming over and wanting to touch it.

I dunno...when I first got my iPhone 4 (launch) people at stores noticed when I was using it. They would come up and ask about it. I mean, people might not since the 5 looks somewhat similar to the 4, especially if no one is really looking. I'm not going to be waving it around like HEY EVERYONE CHECK OUT MY IPHONE 5, haha.

I remember when I was like 12 I would hang out at the mall with my friend and my mom would let me borrow her Nokia 3410 for emergencies and I would show it off. Like I said, when I was 12..

My 4S is my first iPhone and when I got it someone said to me "but you can't even tell its a newer phone it just looks like a 4." I don't care. I didn't buy this thing to look cool.. I bought it because the phone itself is cool. Showing off a phone? And being conscious that your showing it off? That's crazy. "If you got it, flaunt it" doesn't apply to your iPhone.

If that's the way it works, I'm showing it all over town. :p

Quite the jerk move, walking the entire line like that while they still wait.

LOL I wasn't trying to. I was literally just walking from the store in the mall straight to my car outside. The line was just that long where it was on my way to the car. I couldn't really avoid it so to speak.

Wow. If you're not joking, this is profoundly pathetic and sad.

You're not special. A ton of people will have this phone on Friday and nobody cares what phone you're carrying.

And taking video with your iphone. Right?

You could have left the phone in your pocket. It looks like taunting.

And this the exact reason the iPhone and its users get such a bad rep.

I can only imagine that if someone was planning to buy one soon. I know tons of people with iPhones and other smart phones. That would really be the only time I'd be interested in it in terms of their experience.

This will personally be my first personally paid for smartphone. I was never really compelled to buy one before now. I always thought people were crazy for paying for data plans but guess I'm joining the crazy.
