Anyone else having issues with series 4 on London underground?

Upgraded to Apple Watch Series 5 and AFAICT problem is still there 😭

I am tempted to say that it fails less frequently but it's hard to say.

Given Series 5 hardware is almost identical, I would imagine the same outcome. But it is not an Apple hardware issue as payments outside an ageing transport infrastructure works fine consistently

It is definitely an Apple hardware issue as Series 3 and earlier models were working fine.

I am really hoping now that Apple Pay Express Travel Card is supported by TfL our issues will be resolved.

Coincidently I switched cards to an Amex charge card and never had a single failure for the last two weeks (yet)...There was an incident with the system taking slightly longer than expected at Hyde Park corner where the lights went from Amber, Red, Green but did not beep on the Red. (Gates were open for wonderland)

I was in London the last couple of days and tried the Express Travel feature out on my S5 Watch. It worked fine. Sometimes there were problems with individual readers, but trying to a different reader resolved the issue.
