Meh, I have it, but I never use it.

My rooms vent does wort correctly anyway, although its the hottest in the house. I prefer to have the fan on 24/7.;)

Weeeee, other SF people here. Yay.

Although I think I'm a bit more sensitive to temperature fluctuations than others that live here, anything above 70F has me sweating profusely and feeling generally nauseous. There's been a handful of weekend heat waves here this year, the first of which prompted me to shop around for a small A/C, came to the conclusion that one of those was a bit overkill for a single room so I settled for a powerful fan instead.

My parents are originally from the midwest and when they moved out here they were shocked that very few houses here had A/C. Climate doesn't call for it most of the time so there's no reason to install them. Still too warm for my tastes too many times out of the year for my comfort levels. Bleh.

Tell me about it; yesterday I was so hot I had me some Mitchell's. :p

One shouldn't use hot weather as an excuse to get Mitchell's. Ice cream is all weather yumminess.

Hence why there's been a tub of Coconut Pineapple in the fridge for nearly a week (and why it's just about done). :p

Life here would be unbearable without AC. The thermostat in the car today read 92F. We have central air in the house, although the temperature in my bedroom rarely drops below 80F in the summer.

When I was in my bedroom in my parents' house it got ridiculously hot, reason being the wall of technology I had running much of the time (two, sometimes three high powered desktop towers, upwards of fifteen hard drives internal & external, two receivers, monitors, television, the works). I always had the door closed, further worsening the situation that is my room being the furthest from the A/C unit on the upper level. Great, sweaty times.

Considering we really only have a handful of days that are unbearable hot each year (ah, the perks of living along San Francisco Bay :D), no AC here.

We don't have air con in our house, but rather 'attic fans'. They're sort of something out of the 70's, but someone told me that it's in to have them now as it makes our house a 'green' house. They don't do much unless you keep them on for a better part of the day, and they're very loud.

I have the A/C set to 75F in the house, because anything warmer and I am just too uncomfortable. Aside from other things, my asthma worsens as the temperature rises.

I rarely use it in the car though. I just roll down the windows and open the sunroof. :)

This is the first house I've lived in (and oddly enough, the oldest) that has had central a/c. I will never, EVER go back!

I could not go with out AC where I live. It is currently 1AM and current temp is 89degrees. The highs for the next week are all 100+ and in next 10 forcast only the last two days have temps of 99 degrees which make them the coldest days.

That is just life around here. Sad part is it takes a few days of a 100+ before it is even news worthy. Summer temps here are normally over 95 degrees.

Good old Texas. People who start whinning at 85 degrees my answer has been and always will be go to house and then you will be allowed to talk. Ends most arguments right there. Houston heat is not just hot but humid so heat indexes quite off bust 120 degree .

Here in Seattle we don't need AC much but it would be nice to have it a couple days a year.

A/C around here is provided by Mother Nature, just open the windows after sunset and close them up again by around 7am. Of course it's very nice in the summer after a scorching day when overnight temperatures drop off to 50ºF. In winter when it drops off to -25ºF at 3am and tries to freeze your water pipes, then it's somewhat less celebrated.

we had a aircon unit built into the conservatory but it broke a few years ago and because they bricked around it can't get to it to get fixed. I think we used it once.

I have it in my car though :)

In Florida, no way. I toped out at 97f today. I feel bad for those who don't have AC.

Might I suggest a USB power A/C?

I prefer to be warm, I hate A/C. When my dad opens the window in the car I always get annoyed! *just 4 more years, Josh, then you will have your own car... And keep the windows CLOSED*

In fact, he has started doing it in the house now! He just came back quickly so he probably opened the window in my room so I'm off to close it!
