Would you be interested in a 3.5" "iPhone 7"

Personally, no.

While I do prefer a smaller phone which is why I still use a 5S (although I might go buy a 6S this weekend) I MUCH prefer the 16:9 aspect ratio. 3.5" with a 16:9 aspect would be too narrow for me, and most people IMO.

4" is a good compromise between still having a small phone while also having a standard aspect ratio. Again, my opinion.

Nope I used an iPhone 4 that I traded my Galaxy Nexus at the time preparing for the iPhone 5 launch and I would never go back to that screen size again.

Yes, I would love for Apple to come out with a new smaller phone. I have a 5S right now and love the 4 inch screen size. I want to upgrade my phone now but have been holding off until I can find one the same size as what I have now.

I feel exactly the opposite! When I pick up one of our old iPhones we have sitting around the first thing I want to do is chuck it against the wall.... they are an abomination!! I want a larger iPhone plus!

Not at all. The 4.7" 6 and 6s feel absolutely perfect in the palm of my hand. Very compact. I think that's a good option for those who prefer a smaller device.

3.5" feels tiny, cramped, and hard to type on after using the 6 series Iphones.

I went from a 6 to a 6S Plus, and now even the 6 feels small in my hands when I pick one up in a store. The iPhone 4S that we keep here as a music player & Apple TV remote feels ridiculously small. My first iPhone was a 4, and now it's hard to imagine how I ever used it.

Uh, what? The 3.5" iPhones were popular with EVERYONE who wanted an iPhone, because they had no other option back then! These days I see many "ladies, old people, and such" rocking 6/6s Pluses.
Hmmmm... if only I had an iPhone 5 and 6. I'd own the iPhones from the 4S until 6Plus.

A 3.5" smartphone ? Holy cow, who'd would want a Fischer Price toy phone like that ? Ugh

I think the 5.5" size is the sweet spot for a smartphone, but Apple doesn't do it right with the Plus version, it is a giant phone for being only 5.5", look at the Android phones like the LG G3 with the same size screen, it's substantially smaller with the exact same screen size. Or even the Note 5, being even bigger display with a 5.7" screen, but the overall footprint size of the phone is a good amount smaller than the Plus.

You people must have monkey fingers. I myself have a small hand, I am a one handed texter. I probably haven't touched my phone with left hand other than plunging into charger in 3 years.

My friends text with two hands on their 6/6+ I feel bad for them.

Everyone has preferences but I like my 5/5s been using it for 3 years now, just used upgrade and got a new 5s and gave old one to gf

When the 6 came out I went to Android to get a smaller phone. The smallest I could find there with reasonable specs was 4.3" I found that it was just a little too big for one-handed use so when I came back to the iPhone I went with the 6+ as I figured without small screened options I should go as big as I could. That said if Apple released a 3.5" or even 4" device again I would immediately go for it.

I was one of those that left the Apple ecosystem for Android just for screen size, but the 6+ brought me back. Last night, I found an old 4s and I immediately missed the form factor. If Apple released an iPhone 7 with the screen size of the 4/4s, would you be interested? Or is screen size > portability?

I guess based on the fact I am older now, mid 40's and eyes are not so good looking at my phone close up NO...

Thinking of going from the 6 to the 7 Plus next year, my eyes are not that bad, I do not need to turn the fonts way up, but much easier for older folks to read the phone then squint at my iPhone 5 that my son now has.

I originally moved off my 4S to an Xperia Z because i wanted to screen real estate but I found i did miss the 1 handed use. Always found the Z a tad too wide for my liking. So when I decided to switch back to iOS I was unsure whether to go for a 6 or a 5S. I had a 5G iPod touch and really liked the size of it but i decided to opt for the 6. I find it the best sized device Ive used so far. I couldn't go back to the smaller phones now..

Been using my 6S+ after upgrading from a 6.
I think even 4.7 is a bit difficult to go back to.

I'd go for a device the size of an iPhone 5 with smaller bezels (and thus a larger screen) in a heartbeat. But the 3.5" size is too cramped to go back to.

Yeah! I would love it if the 4S was updated with a snappier processor and ram. Im at a point where I just don't need that retail space on a phone. My iPad or macbook is always with me, I would love just having a smaller iPhone again. Im actually downgrading from my 6+ to my 5S. I will miss the Apple pay NFC, but I just much prefer the 5S :D

Screen size aside, I personally love the flat edge design of the 4 and 5, the roundness of the 6 is a good showoff of the radiused glass at the edges, but its just not my style.
