Yes, I can wait, but I'm checking the Apple Site everyday as well the MacRumors Buyer's Guide several times in the day, hoping for a glare of something ...

I can wait but I'm not holding my breath.:p

the day i come to macrumors and i see "MBP Update" there is a pretty good chance i'll ***** my pants. i've been waiting since last summer!!! (i nearly got one in june, but i got scared off by the excessive reports of screen yellowing). i hope they get the yellowing worked out, or just go back to lcd. led is gay if its gonna be pissy. they absolutly MUST make the screen resolution 1680x1050 for the 15"...or even 1080p. ahhh, you all are not alone...canntt takkkee theee pressuree....hatte my HP!!!

my worst fear is that they will update only it will be a crappy update (comparable to the november additions).....i wanna see higher resolution 15"s, 512 graphics cards, and a redesign if they ever do in fact redesign in the next 2 years (i would be pissed if they did a crappy update now and then did an insane on in Q3)....what do u guys think? i could care less about the processer, its all the gpu and resolution for me.

I would like to see the following....

CPU update
512mb GPU
Magnetic latch

I'm not worried about a case redesign yet, would be nice later this year, but i cant see it happening just yet. I'd like to think they will redesign the Pro range (Displays, MacPro and MBP) in one hit.

I can't believe so few people are complaining about the biggest problem with the MBP, the screen resolution, every other 15" notebook has 16801050.

I am really excited for the reviews of the MBA with SSD, I am not going to make the choice of SSD or not until I see some reviews.

hmm I just noted something..

On Apples homepage in the "hot news" section they used to have a "nov. 1 macbook pro update" but its gone now. also in the "all news of 2007"

Not to quote from Shrek or anything but...
"I'm a Donkey on the edge", no pushing or I might just slip (and buy a current MBP).

I sold my old MB last spring, bought a Mini, but have been an avid (many times a day) reader of these threads.

Isnt the 512mb version of the 8600GT a step down from the 256mb version? Since the 512 uses DDR2 ram and the 256 uses DDR3 ram...at least thats what ive read for any gaming performance. I don't think any laptop right now has a bette video card than whats in the MBP for 15"...alienware is going to put an 8800 in their 15" but i heard they made the case almost the size of 17" to do it.

Its about time Apple made 7200rpm hardrives standard in MBP... when you give an item the tag 'PRO' i expect Pro performance which you dont get from a crap hardrive.....

I'm about to explode! I can't handle this anxiety from not knowing!!!
I think we should write an "Open Letter" to Steve/Apple for doing this to us.

I'm a 3D/Graphic Desig. needing the update, I travel a lot with my work and I've been holding since last September, and Nothing..is just killing me!!

Guys, Im impatiently waiting as well, these forums have become 50% of my computer usage. Anyway, here is my photoshop of what I want from this update...

Yep i'm liking this design...... done a good job there!

It's clear we'll get a CPU update, but what are the chances of getting a 320gb Drive?

I've bought a 320GB hdd from Western Digital to upgrade myself when I finally get my MBP.

I am on the verge of cracking but I know I'll regret it if I do.

I think we need to start a support group...that or become addicted to something less stressful. Crack anyone? ;)

Thats soo true..

This is my first Mac but i never see myself doing this, visiting sites to see if there is a new MBP or not...

When i bought my 1st laptop, just saw values and bought it, nothing more.

But Since Apple Computers are so few, you need to wait. (i just wait that my wait (lol) will not be in vain....)
