The quality issues I've experienced has got me regretting selling my old iPhone, but I'm sticking with the 5.. Another Genius Bar appt tomorrow

I sold my iPhone 5 today, beautiful phone, at the moment though, I prefer my S3.

It had none of the problems thus reported so far, worked flawlessly.

I'm very interested in trying this as well. The reviews for this device have been terrific. Only reason for me on iOS is iMessages but the Note II looks tempting.

Yes, iMessage would be definitely be missed but there are plenty of third party messaging apps I could use. Screw carrier text plans (still on my grandfathered 200 text plan with ATT).

I have been holding out on the 5. I even had an AT&T manager hold me one as a favor in response to some CRM issues. I passed due to to launch issues with precious Apple goods.

I spent over 5 years working for AT&T, including the device team where I got to play with ALL the toys & was RARELY impressed with Android devices. I did like the S2 & note but wasn't impressed with OS enough to switch full-time. Keep in mind we usually carried at least 3 devices at a time & got anything non-Apple for free. We had to pay for Apple & I still used a iPhone for personal use.

Jelly Bean & Nexus 7 may have changed my mind. I have an iPad, returned my Fire HD but LOVE the Nexus 7. It's just fun. I am now holding out to see what happens with the new Nexus, Note 2, etc. My main concern is it's unlikely I will find a better camera & that is a priority for me with our 16 month-old.

We will see.

Honestly, it's not even about the money for texting plans as most plans its included now. My problem is that my town is pretty bad for service and I often have to rely on wifi when at work or at a friends to get my texts.

Thinking about it. Been through about 4 phones and they all had some type of issue. Going to another Apple Store because the by my house treated me like I was annoying them, go figure. If something doesn't happen tonight, game over. Might switch to a 4s and keep my options open...

Ditto on all fronts:). Additionally, my Maps app is flawless in the Baltimore/Columbia/DC area where I've used it. Siri gave perfect driving instructions. Really cool using Yelp, find a restaurant, clicking on directions and having Siri do her job. She deserves a raise:D. I know other locations are not as good yet based on comments but it will happen. I still have my Garmin as a backup. I'm waiting for the iPhone 5 car charger:( so I can have the phone charge while driving.

I use one of these with my lightning cable. Waiting for another lightning cable so I dont have to keep taking out of my car.

I just signed up with Verizon and picked up a 32gb iPhone 5 today. I'll be going back to the Apple store tomorrow and getting a 16gb for the wife while also returning both AT&T iPhone 5"s at the same time. Verizon is more expensive but I'm really liking the LTE and free tethering. AT&T Dropped the ball in falling behind Verizon in LTE coverage, wonder how many customers they lost or will lose?

I'm definitely keeping mine. I upgraded from an iPhone 4 so this thing is super fast. LTE + unlimited VZW = win!

Nope. My white i5 is exactly what I want. I want a bigger screen when watching video or showing pics but then I have a hard time using this phone with one hand from corner to corner, so it's kind of a mixed bag. I can use this with one hand better than my friends galaxy s3.

Never brought one. iPhone 4 is still great. Just as fast as the iPhone 5 after optimizing it with jail breaking - apple crams tons of background processes and useless language files.

yeah iphone 4 is just as fast as 5 and iphone 2g is almost there

I might return mine since I think I prefer black but that might bite me in the rear. I am tempted to jump up to 32gb from white 16gb or just refund all together and move back to the 4s which apparently should be faster than the 5 after jailbreak since 4 is "just as fast" :apple:

Apple's return policy states 30-days from shipment. Ship date for first arrivals was 9/16. That puts the return date cut off is 10/16.
The policy does not state 30-days from receive date.

For most of us, the 30 day return window with Apple ends on 10/21 (or is it the 20th?). Anyone here considering returning the iPhone 5 before then?

My iPhone 5 has an issue with the vibrate and scuffing. I got a replacement by mail and it was DOA, so I sent it back. I think I may return this phone for now and wait til most of the initial production kinks have been ironed out.

Get out there and grab yourself one one those tablet size androids.

Perfect white 32gb iPhone 5 here, not used the iPhone as much as I do now since the iPhone 4. It's a keeper!!

I really would like to go the Galaxy Note route, however...im so dialed in to the apple lifestyle, that its impossible to switch....imessage is my killer...using that interchangeably with ipads and iphones and macs, etc...plus airplay and such...I just cant see where a different brand phone gets me any better usage...

I am waiting to get a new promo at work where they will finally pay for my cell, which means I will just get a new work line and get an s3 or a note then....in addition to my iphone.

That's my plan as well.

Quality control on the new iPhone is horrible and iOS has gotten stale for me. Tired of playing cat and mouse with apple regarding jailbreaking.

Will give Samsung a try and pick up one of these monsters.

Didn't you say your iPhone 5 was fine? Anyway, glad to see I'm not alone. I returned my iPhone 5 almost immediately after realizing I had a loose piece in the camea (and no it wasn't the common rattle).

The Galaxy Note II looks awesome, but I can't see myself carrying around a device that large. I'd be all over it if it were around 4.8" or even 5".

Samsung phones are great though. They offer so much support and are catching up to the iPhone in popularity.

Nope keeping mine. Albeit it did take a few exchanges to get one that worked... sprint issues though. I have had android and samsung phones before and am really not impressed anymore. I'll give iphone a try for 2 years and go from there.

Nope. Going to keep my 32 GB black iphone 5. Perfect condition. No wifi issues. No scuffs or scratches. No yellow screen. No rattles. No call problems. No battery problems. By far the best phone I have own, and by far the best phone out there.

You are a very luck person, I'd fly to Vegas tonight if I were you.

I agree completely. But I am returning my black 64g this week. Figure I can trade it in for 4 - 16's so I can share the awesomeness with friends.

No. Not going to return. Neither wife nor I have any complaints. iTunes, iPads, ATV. Really stoked and bought in.

BUT, I visited a MS store tonight and was playing with the Win7.5 phones. The gap between the smart phones is narrowing. The wild west that is Android interests me not on any level. In two years the MS eco system might. I'd like to think that Apple realizes the competition is not as soft as it used to be and that this continues to push them forward.

Yep. I've had every iPhone since the 3G and its just boring to me. The larger screen didn't change my mind much so I'll be returning it then buying the galaxy note 2 on the 24th :)
Awesome decision. I love my S III, I assume the Note II is an even better device. Good luck!

No way I'm sending mine back! After reading these forums since Launch day I have come to the conclusion that I must have the only flawless iPhone 5 in existence! It must be worth a fortune!
