Question. I received my iPhone 5 on launch day via AT&T. My 30 day return window shuts down on the 21st I believe. I like my iPhone 5 a great deal but might be open to an Android device this fall. What are my options once the 30 day return window closes if an Android phone I like comes to the market in the upcoming months?

It's only 14 days, not 30 to cancel your contract with the carriers and avoid ETF

I believe AT&T only recently changed their policy to 14 days. When I purchased my iPhone 5 it was still a 30 day window.

I sent mines back. Hoping the next batch of iphones from Foxconn are defect free.

Just ordered a 64gb 4s off ebay for cheap!

Didn't you say your iPhone 5 was fine? Anyway, glad to see I'm not alone. I returned my iPhone 5 almost immediately after realizing I had a loose piece in the camea (and no it wasn't the common rattle).

Two dead pixels. :(

Exchanged it for retail box (3 times) only to end up with a worse phone each time. Nicks, scuffs, dents, rattles (not the common rattle as well), even the apple employee was speechless. Apple QC is lacking horribly.

AT&T just changed that.
I bought my 5 from apple.com on launch day and just returned it today.
Then walked into AT&T and they gave me a new sim for my iPhone 4 and reset my upgrade and plan back to none LTE plan.

Pretty painless. But if you miss that 30 day window you will be charged ETF from AT&T and I think apple will only let you exchange and not return.
The 5 was just blah to me. Nice hardware but really the 4" tall screen was stupid. In landscape mode it is the same as my 4. Should have made it wider. I would have kept it then. Oh well Nokia 920 or Note 2 next.

Ive called up today to return my black 16GB...

And get a White 16GB sent in exchange :)

Black was nice, but decided i wanted a change this time.

With all the email and wifi issues mine has become nearly worthless for me. If a new iOS doesn't come in the next week to fix it it's definitely going back.

Yeah. My upgrade is May, so I might get it then. But anyway, I've used practically every Android phone phone and while some are nice, I always go back to the 4s. But I hear you on the QC issues with Apple. I went through so many 4S's it wasn't even funny. My current one has a small light leak and wiggly sleep wake button but I gave up. It's kinda sad in a way I can't get a flawless phone. Oh we'll.

If I have a black I can switch it to a white for no reason other than that?

If my replacement 5 is as janky as my original one, I'll be sending the replacement back, returning my original 5, and going to an S3 or 4S.
