Between AT&T not being ready for MMS and tethering, to the "new" iPhone being really... meh, is anyone else kinda bummed?

I mean, I'm not gonna lose sleep over it, but there's nothing really "wow-worthy" about today whatsoever, at least in my opinion.

Yeah. I was really looking forward to the Matte back. Thought it would be really cool!

Apple...the NEW Microsoft.

Everything was fine until they decided to price gouge for the new iPhone 3GS to existing iPhone 3G customers, and then dropping the price to $99 to taunt us even more.

No voice control for non-GS models is pretty sad.

So is the tethering issue.

Otherwise I'm not that disappointed. Next year should be the real hardware upgrade.

I just got home from work

one question ,i Bought my iphone 3g this year in april, should I be upset for not waiting or will I be ok to wait till next year no biggie?

the only thing i know about the new iphone is that it has video recordin which i dont need

I thought OS 3.0 for the iPhone looked really good.

And I agree that $29 for Snow Leopard is welcome news.

The iPhone hardware was interesting to me, but I was happy to know, since I'm not in upgrade territory with AT&T, that it didn't make me think I have to have it.

Good, all-in-all.

Yeah when they announced SL price, the place went crazy with cheers and clapping.

How are they price gouging us? What other cell phone company lets up get a subsidized price on a new phone every year?

I am VERY happy what Apple is doing. The new Macbooks were a bonus also, who knew they would do that much to them? most people thought it would be just a bump is speed and that's all.

EXACTLY.

Everyone knows about Partial upgrades! Stop acting like Apple is suppose to give you everything. They still have to make money. The people that actually want it will buy it.

(Once again my full upgrade pricing comes in handy ;))

What about the fact that we have yet to hear about multi-tasking? I can't wait to be able to listen to pandora while doing other things. How can it compete with the palm pre, if they don't release multi-tasking. To sum up my complaints:
1) No Multi-tasking
2) No MMS Until Late Summer
3) Tethering Details Unknown (Though ATT will support it at some time)
4) Pricing for Existing 3G Customers
5) Nothing to compete with Palm Synergy
6) No Gmail push technology
7) Nothing Breath-taking

They have always managed to add that wow factor. The 1st time the released the iphone was the breath taking thing released. I mean very few people imagined what they done. The 2nd time when they released the iphone 3g, the price was the breath taking thing. Very few people expected the price to be that low. (199 and 299) this time everything was guessed....

If you asked me before the keynote, I'd have said I would be most psyched for the new iPhone OS/hardware.

I can barely muster a meh, for it at this point. No matte black casing, the continual "this great new feature (but not on AT&T yet)", the lack of serious details (what kind of new processor, etc)...just didn't do much at all for me. I was FAR more impressed with Snow Leopard, and very surprised/pleased to see the $29 for Leopard users.

I wouldn't say disappointed....but no, they didn't wow me. Well, I guess you could count being "wowed" at OS 3.0....except that way is a few months old aready.

I was mostly disappointed in the fact that no changes have been made to the iPhone springboard. Still user-very-unfriendly.

O well we all hoped for that, they just told about 3.0 the same we knew on the last event.

Still what was dissapointing was the ne 3gs.

I was gonna get a new phone if it meet 3 things:

Better camera + video
New design
and a better screen.

but o well we just wait until next iphone.

I'm disappointed I can't get past the error to preorder the iphone.

I thought it was a brilliant keynote.

You guys with iPhone 3G's - what do you expect, you've only had your phones for a year. I waited my two years, so I get the subsidized pricing.

Lower prices all over the place, all new laptop lineup, new phone - what's not to love?
