Honestly I wasn't all that excited when it was announced last year. Especially when the rumors started about the battery life and the fact that it can't even withstand a shower as far as water resistance goes.

Now that we're getting closer to the release date I'm growing more and more excited to get one. But not iPhone type of excited. I'm not going to wake up at 2am on the morning of the 10th to pre-order, especially after the fiasco when the iPhone 6 came out. It took damn near an hour to get an order to go through...and had to use the Apple Store App to do so. The website STILL wasn't up. I had checked like 10 minutes after we were able to place our orders and the shipping times had already slipped into a few days after release.

So this time we might get up half an hour early for work so we can try to order our watches, but if the website still isn't up or we can't order through the app then we'll just wait until after work to place our orders. If shipping times have slipped a week or two by then...not a big deal. Maybe as it gets a bit closer the excitement will grow...but as of right now I'm kind of doubting it. We'll see.

I actually just found out that I'm preordering two Apple Watches.

One for me and one for my little step brother because his Mum won't let him stay up all night to pre order the Apple Watch so I'll be in a rush to pre order two! :p

Jony Ive's voice over for the Apple Watch videos is why Apple Watch will sell :p hehe

He could voice over just about anything and I would be mesmerized. He could be describing turds in a cat box and make it sound exciting. :p "You can't determine a boundary between a physical object and the kitty litter"

I really don't understand all the hate. people just don't get it. Just because android smart watches haven't really took off, doesn't mean the Apple watch won't.

In fact, android smart watch makers should root for Apple watch, it's goodl for all smart watch makers

I'm getting excited, I'm pretty sure I'm going to get the 38mm white sport, and probably a black band as well, I can't wait too see them for real on 10th

About a 7 on a 1-10 scale. Kind of the typical new-toy excited. It helps that I am a watch fanatic too.

like many others here im pretty excited but not iPhone excited. I'm holding on to just one more surprise detail that was left out, but am ready for the disappointment that this is it. and what it is, is enough i suppose.

things will become clearer after april 10th when i get to try them on. I'm debating on which size and that's something i can personally determine in real life.

anyway, who's up for tracking planes just like we did for the iPhone launches? i doubt apple will commission jets this time around, but if they do i'll be tracking!

Exactly.
Big touch screen phones (and even smart phones, really) weren't a must-have thing until Apple released the first iPhone.

Once everyone gets their Apple Watches and begins integrating them into their daily lives, Android users will begin to chariot the watches available to them and we'll finally get to hear all of the compelling reasons why the Android watches are far superior to the Apple Watch.

I won't be buying an Apple watch simply because it is ugly and way to feminine looking for my tastes. This limits me to those 'other' watches. You consider that a good enough reason to list an Android Wear or Pebble watch as far superior?

How on earth is it feminine looking? Any chance you're extremely insecure?

Deflection and defensive response from my stated opnion. You might want to look into that with a professional.

And yes, the watch is feminine looking. I might get one for my wife, but I would never get one for myself.

It's your opinion and certainly you're entitle to it but fortunately you're in the minority if this forum and other sources are to go by. It's far from being feminine and is as a unisex product as you can get.

Would be excited except for one small point. I have little use for a cell phone and the watch is next to useless without an iPhone.
Ah well, never mind, something else will come along soon from my favourite company that I can spend some money on!

I'm maybe more excited about the Apple Watch than any other Apple product I've bought. First I think it's going to be as big as the iPad.

Mostly I'm super excited to wear a cool watch again. As a kid/young man I loved digital watches but I haven't worn one for 20 years. I've learned a lot about watches from all these threads, I've even found myself admiring traditional watches more.

I'm sure it will be a big hit. However, I feel it would be better if it didn't need
an iPhone to work. Millions of people have iPhones but then again millions don't including me. Tried one but didn't particularly like it. Got the Lumia 925.
I have an iPad Air that doesn't need an iPhone to work. It's very useful on its own.
The AW appears to be an accessory to the iPhone. That's okay, but if it had more standalone features Apple would have another customer. Cest la vie!

Ditto. Can't wait!!! Wish it was sooner the waitit killing me.

I still have on my pebble. Every time I get a notification or it disconnects, or I wish it looked good with my suit and tie, I just imagine it being an Apple watch and get more excited.

I mean the majority of us must being looking forward to the Apple Watch release and that is most likely why you are on this forum in the most place.

But I mean I am really excited! This is easily the most anticipated Apple release for me and I can't wait to buy a 38mm SS with Milanese loop on launch day!

It feels like it is coming up towards Christmas! Anyone else feel the same?

I have the 10th and 24th off and have had the gift cards to pay for it for over a year now, does that answer your question? Lol

I am all in on smartwatches, I love my pebble and the Apple watch is 100 times better in every way except battery life.

I am more excited for this thing then I was for my first iPhone and that is saying a lot.

i have been using the pebble for over a year and even though it's useful for notifications it lacks interaction. i can't wait to ditch it for the apple watch. i'm on the hype train choo choo!

The buggy iPhones 6 and 6 Plus I'm living with have caused so much frustration I'm not buying anything new from Apple until the next iPhone is released. Apples claim is they are working on a better version of iOS with the focus on quality. I'll believe it when I see it, and if so I'll dump this crappy iPhone and buy one that is enjoyable, not one that crashes daily.
I have the Plus and it works, runs like a beast ! :)

Cant wait to purchase the Apple sport in blue or black.
