A wearable is not for everyone. It's truly a iPhone accessory you either love or can live without . Some people on here have to accept that unlike the iPhone , this is not a must have product. At least u have it a go OP

No I love mine so far and it'll only get better with software updates. But don't get me wrong I have a 42 space grey so I'm def tempted to eBay it and order a SS one with the profits. But I'm way too impatient for that

No one needs a smart watch. Its just a very nice thing to have. So far, I enjoy not having to pull my phone out to read notifications and messages and change music.

Also using directions is awesome.

Its very clear that you are not meant to use it for more than a couple of minutes a time. The idea is to get info quickly and decide what you will do with it.

Can't wait to see where devs can take this, absolutely love the thing after just a day.

Mine hasn't lagged or stuttered at all, so I would wonder whether there wasn't something wrong with the one you bought on Craigslist.

Yours doesn't have a spinning circle while using maps? Mine sat there spinning for a good 30 seconds the first time I opened it. Also stuttered everytime I looked at weather or even swiped between my cities. I doubt its only my watch as others have commented on this too. If yours is zippy and you don't see that wheel at all, you are pretty lucky I guess.

It must be your signal or something. Mine takes 3-5secs on maps. I love the watch for the hat it was designed for. A device to enhance communication. Not a device to replace using your phone.

Like the iPad and iPhone, the Watch will eventually find it's ground. It's a first gen device. All first gen devices suck, but they have a lot of different cool features to use.

The Watch is so new, that many are not yet sure of what to do with it yet. The mistake was probably buying something because it's new.

I've been wanting a wearable since the Nike Fuel Band. Then Android Wear came out and it showed that even more things are possible.

For me, I picked a few features that I wished a watch would do and the Apple watch happened to fit the bill.

Not my signal. Maps opens instantly on my iPhone, iPad and even my iPod touch.

This. It's a first gen product, but I think a lot of people got caught up in the excitement and forget this. I have heard some of the reviewers who gave slightly negative reviews (Verge, Gruber, and WSJ) say they really like it, but they want to make it clear that this is not a product for the masses yet. It takes a certain type of person to be an early adopter and it is going to weed others out.

There is a whole thread where people are talking about what they love about their Apple watches. Check it out.#

Some people's expectations are far too high for a 1st gen product with 1st generation software.
It's a watch and that's why it's called a watch. It's a fashionable piece of jewellery that has some additional communications functionally.
It's too small to be anything else.
In time it will improve and the issues that people are reporting will be addressed with software releases

Apple have given people every opportunity to hold, feel and try out the watches and to read the reviews and digest the marketing about its functionality.

People should stop impulse buying and actually research and think about it's capabilities instead of expecting a phone on their wrist.

Mine is still on order and my only intention is to use it for picking up reminders, calendar entries and text messages. if that's what is gives me then I will be happy

I was not sure about the watch when I bought it, but one day with the watch and I knew I could live without it. My wife didn't love it either. I figured if we didn't love it right away like all our other Apple stuff, we might as well make a buck. I was going to wait a bit and try it out longer, but in a week or so the resale market will be dead. Sold my watch ($450 profit after eBay fees, 42mm space grey sport) and my wife's watch ($75 profit, 38mm sport with white band) on eBay. FYI if you are in a similar situation and looking to sell, nobody seemed to devalue the fact that the box had been opened. I don't need the money but who couldn't use an easy $500.

I think if I were younger and received more texts/tweets etc. or if my work required constant attention to my emails I would like it more. The fitness stuff is cool and the watch looks and feels awesome. Also the software needs some work but looks great. Maybe I will buy one again later with my profits... :apple:

So what were you expecting from it?

I do love mine. So far only the battery life is not as good as expected - at least on day one. Lets see today. I will not use the activity tracker and hope to get better through the day...

So what were you expecting from it?

I don't know. I have a pebble I don't really like (too glitchy, not very useful). I guess I was hoping it would look cool (it does) and be really useful and fun to use (it wasn't). I fully realize that this is cool technology, but not worth it for me. I LOVE apple stuff (iMac, iPad, iPhone, Apple TVs), I just didn't love this. At least not yet...

. Third, maybe Im an old 40 but just using it for more than 5 minutes hurts my eyes as everything is so small.

The difference between 38mm & 42mm for people with 40+ eyes is huge. I was called to the Apple Watch Lab early April & I tried both. I had to strain on the 38mm but 42 mm was very convenient.

May be Apple came up with the bigger size after studying the effects on older eyes and rightly concluded that 42mm is optimal.

You may think 4 mm is not much difference but for some reason it is a big deal.

It's a WATCH. It is NOT an iphone on your wrist. If you haven't worn a watch in years, and don't like wearing them, then yes, the Apple watch probably isn't a game changer for you. Some folks just don't like watches. Fair enough.

I think its pretty simple. The following questions self-select:

1) do you already wear a watch?

2) do you own an iphone?

3) Would you like to reduce your interaction with the iphone for many tasks?

If you answered YES to all 3, then the watch is going to be useful. If you answered no to any of them, it's much less likely you'll be happy with the watch.

See, simple.

Bonus: you get fitness functions and health tracking. That may or may not matter to you.
No, I don't wear a watch.
Yes, I do have an iPhone
No, I don't see the point in reducing interaction with my iPhone.

Having said that I have a preorder for a 42mm Milanaise loop..I am on the fence though if I should just cancel my order or not. I am not sold in the meaning of the Apple Watch yet.

I LOVED mine, but I listed it on ebay just to see if I could sell it (42mm SS Milanese) - Sold it in like 2 hours at $1200. Should have listed it higher. Using the funds to buy a SS Space Grey Link instead.
Wont ship till July though :( Hope they catch up with orders sooner than that.

What is a stainless steel space grey link? You mean space black?

Yup
Sorry, I didnt realize the 2 were named Grey vs Black.
I like that it IS black, not grey even more.

Any idea how the black is going to hold up? Better than SS? Obviously cant be easily polished.

supposedly it will, problem is not a single one has been shipped out yet.

Well I guess that could be good or bad for me.
Good - They got sold out quickly and everyone moved on to other more available models, so once the inital batch is out, Itll move along to mine quickly.
Bad - They're having a hell of a time Making them, and even shipping a few will take weeks / months
