If your smart, Ebay it for 2X

I would do it but I don't have the stones. I can't bring myself to overcharge.

I'm weak

(ok that doesn't make any sense, but you get the idea :)

My husband and I have agreed that if, by the time ours arrive, we could still make a profit of $200 or more (each) by selling them that we'll do that and reorder and wait. But we'd end up with the watches either way in the end.

I've yet to get mine.

But this forum now worries me. Not a single "I love this" thread. Usually it's all heart throbs during the honeymoon.

This thing looks doomed out of the gate :D

It's just so costly, and rough around the edges, from what I can tell.

I really hope it's a big hit. Really

Sorry

I absolutely love it and feel like I would be lost without it. Quick glances at notifications are awesome. I have absolutely zero stuttering or lag. In fact, I'm surprised by how fast and responsive it is. I don't understand what the problems are with usability. I find it to be extremely intuitive and easy to use... the digital crown is awesome!

If you want to dislike it, you will find stuff to not like. If you're planning on placing a small iPhone on your wrist, then you're missing the point and are likely to hate it. If you are looking for something to help you keep your phone in your pocket instead of on the dinner table (like the OP), then this is absolutely the device for you.

Yea, I wasnt going to sell mine (Been waiting since before they officially announced it!)
But when I saw they were consistantly selling for 1200+ I decided to throw mine up there. But I only did 1200. Didnt think that though. Shoulda gone higher as a 'itll never sell at that price' - instead I didnt think it would go for 1200. Now Im selling it, and will only make $275, which is hard to justify waiting till june/(July for the space black!) for again after all the waiting I did to order it, wait for shipment, wait for delivery...
but if someone wants one that bad.... I can deal with a Space Black in July as compensation :)

I'm thinking of selling on eBay once my 42 SG Sport BSB arrives, and ordering a 42 SS with bright blue leather loop an a extra band. I don't mind waiting a little longer.

I love mine. It does exactly what I expected.
I don't miss calls and texts bc my phone is in my purse when I am out and about or in a diff corner of the house. I also check the weather several times a day.the sport watch is quite light weight so I don't notice it on my wrist and I haven't worn a watch in years.

Looking forward to controlling my thermostat and alarm with my watch once the apps are released.

I wish it was thinner and had a camera for FaceTime but that will be in future versions.

Some people's expectations are far too high for a 1st gen product with 1st generation software.
It's a watch and that's why it's called a watch. It's a fashionable piece of jewellery that has some additional communications functionally.
It's too small to be anything else.
In time it will improve and the issues that people are reporting will be addressed with software releases

Apple have given people every opportunity to hold, feel and try out the watches and to read the reviews and digest the marketing about its functionality.

People should stop impulse buying and actually research and think about it's capabilities instead of expecting a phone on their wrist.

Mine is still on order and my only intention is to use it for picking up reminders, calendar entries and text messages. if that's what is gives me then I will be happy

Excellent post. I was very unimpressed with this watch when it was announced. I didn't pre-order one on the 10th. Then I went into an Apple Store last week and LOVED how the stainless steel watch & band combo looked and felt on my arm. The impulse to buy was strong, jack. But I stepped away, texted a friend of mine, and she reminded me that I'd done a lot of reading and research on this device and had determined that it didn't offer anything that I really wanted at this time, especially for the $999 price of the model I tried on. So I left and will continue to wait for the next iteration of the Watch. If some people bought this expensive device because it was the shiny new toy without putting much thought or research into how it would fit into their lives, then that's their fault, not Apple's.

Just sold my 38mm Stainless Steel with Classic Black Buckle on eBay for $925.00. I purchased it for myself but after 3 times at the apple store playing with it, I couldn't see myself using it. I am a Huge Watch Guy and have a collection of over 20 watches. The only thing i found useful was the fitness capabilities, not worth spending that amount for it. Sorry.

I am still undecided. At first I was excited and after analyzing its features and watching all the videos I decided I don't need it in any way. I am a big Apple fan though and love gadgets, so in the last days I had a change of mind and ordered the Watch stainless steel with Milanese loop. I am so undecided though that I even ordered a sport space gray with the leather loop as additional band. After 8 orders and cancellations I think I have managed to come to a conclusion! I will keep my last order of the stainless steel milanese loop and will wait till June. I will keep the watch for at least a week and then make up my mind if I need it or want it in my life.
Apple certainly made it extremely difficult for me this time. Normally I know exactly what I want, but unfortunately not in this case.

I always have my phone out. If Im sitting down at a restaurant or pretty much anywhere, its on the table or somewhere I can always glance at it when something comes in. I was hoping the watch would replace the need to pick up my phone and text back or email someone but it appears not. Seems more like an extra step to look at the watch and then go to the phone. Yea, seems like its not for me but testing it for a day was the only way to really know.

Only you can/will know if it's for you. Clearly, the ratio of iPhones to Watches shows that not every iPhone user needs/wants/will get the Watch.

It sounds as though the social constraints of not being continuously tethered to your phone and picking it up from the table in every situation aren't a concern for you. For many, notifications WITHOUT having to grab the phone is the key to a smart watch. My time with a Pebble taught me to not only be aware of notifications, but also to ignore them when the time isn't right to check. I'm still in processing for my pre-order, but I anticipate the same with the Apple Watch. Feel the notification, but if I'm in a restaurant, business meeting or conversation with anyone I cared about, I can ignore the notification until the time is right to check it. Quick text reply? From the watch. Email need attention? Pull out the phone.

To each their own. As I said, if it's not right for you, it's not right.

If my 42mm SS Milanese does not ship out by this Thursday 5/7, to make my confirmed 5/8 delivery date (I'm in the 4/24-5/8 delivery window), I will be cancelling.
