Anyone else running around with the stock plastic wrap?

I put bubble wrap around my HDTV: it kinda messes up the picture quality, but at least it's protected.

Just took the plastic wrap off mine. The screen functions so much smoother than before. I can't force myself to put a screen protector on it now =\
I kept mine on my iPad1 til I got protection. and then I saved the factory plastic, so when I just sold that iPad I had everything looking just like fresh from the factory, including the box, and the orig shipping box.
it paid off. I sold the iPad1 for more than I paid for it! (...cause I sold the high demand Unlimited Data Simcard separately).

Still have it on. Just not that big a deal to wait until I have my covers so I make sure it's in good shape protection-wise. It feels a little weird, and I've been tempted, but my $ situation isn't perfect so I know in a year or so I'm going to need to sell it for as much as possible to get a new one. So, no chances.

I absolutely do and I'm only ashamed when I take it out in public.....i am not the least bit OCD but A)I have only had it for a week and i would be PO'd if it got scratched and I'm also trying to decide which to keep (Verizon or att) so until the stores get protective gear, ill have the shrink wrap on for the forseeable future. I was also able to sell my ipad 1 for a great price b/c it was flawless....im gonna keep up that streak hopefully.

I think there is actually a slight chance the loose plastic could allow loose dirt in and get a scratch. It's slight, but as I remember on my iPad1 it was not a true seal. That plastic gets very staticy and attracts stuff to it, esp on the inside, just sayn.
I bought a used iPad2 (no plastic wrap) and slapped on my iPad1's Power Support anti-glare screen protector and and..uh... ok, I applied US Postal shipping tape to the back! Nothing was gonna scratch it for sure. The tape comes off clean. I told people that is how it got shipped to me, some believed it!
I then put a skin on the back, and am waiting for the right priced screen protector. and I have a Yoobao slim leather case on too. maybe I am oOOcD, but my iPad is pretty, (what I can see of it!)

reminds me of seeing this guy sitting in Starbucks working away on his 4 year old HP that still had the plastic on it ... it was 1/2 peeled away and had 4 years of dust and crap sticking to it.

Leave it on, if you take it off it could get scuffed up and then it'll be worthless.
Screen protectors are made to function with the touchscreen and your finger. The plastic wrap that came on the screen most definitely is not made for that.
I do. After my youth group got it dirty, I was very happy that I did that. I also ordered a new screen protector, so when I comes in, I will take it off... Don't let these people get to u. Every day you see a post about protecting it.
It is actually a good Idea tobleave it on and if others would not have taken theirs off, they would liking the idea more... It is just too late... Why not leave it on, for many like me who got it on launch day, there was nothing out... And I had one with the smart cover... I was always rubbing marks out for the Mack side...
