iPhone 11 Anyone else seeing this when trying to upgrade via the Upgrade Progam?

The last 3 years if you are on the program already we will get a email from Apple with the ability to go in and get reapproved and select our choices so its in queue for Pre Order opening then we would just sign back in and click BUY.

Assuming they give us the option this year.

Hoping they do give us the option again. Gets us done fast on Friday and out of way for new orders and perhaps speeding up the new folks on Friday.

Yep my assumption also hopefully email is soon giving us next two days for preapproval process.

Looks like “pre-approval” started last year on Wednesday 9/12(found an old email) and pre-orders began on 9/14. I assume they will start tomorrow...hopefully.

Dang I was reading all that info and sorta glanced over that paragraph. Excellent well i expect the email soon. Already checked and my Xs qualifies for upgrade so will be ready for the email to preapprove it worked well last year. Thanks

They finally last year (I think) stopped all the go to the store at all, thank the lawd, and you can now get the phone at home and send it back in a box. That, along with the preapproval for IUP members and (for east coast US people, the 8 AM EDT time) makes it all so much more rational.

I recall the mess at the store the first couple of years... ugh!

Also, along with the new 'suck all the data from phone to phone' process of the current software should make it a much smoother transition for once.

No thanks. I prefer to hand the phone directly to a store employee. It has never been a 'mess' at my Apple store.

I called apple and they say it’s done already over the phone but that’s a lie.

Yup email should be here by tonight. You make me wonder though...if you don't hit the button at 7am and instead do it say an hour in when ship times have slipped, will our ship times slip? Or, in getting pre-approval are our phones somehow set aside?

Your ship time is based off of when you place the order on Pre order day, Not by when we pre select

Good luck. I had that issue last year, it took them about 2 weeks to fix.

yeah. they already transferred me 3 times and then told me the system wasn't operational yet and to try back. It doesn't explain how my apple care+ is not showing up either. Seems like my phone got decoupled from the iPup in their system somehow. Joy of Joys.

It makes ordering on pre-order day so much easier. Basically a few clicks and you are done.

Yes, but it is much easier. You basically go back into app and click on the pre-approval and complete your order.

Good luck. I probably spent 7+ hours to get mine fixed last year. Only got fixed after an email to Tim Cook. They phone reps I dealt with prior to my email had no clue on what to do and kept passing the buck to the next department.

I don’t believe that they offered it to new enrollees in the past. It may change this year

Mine is saying that i'm not enrolled in the iPhone Upgrade Program but the Citizens Loan charge would disagree with that statement.

I paid off my old phone shortly after the keynote in 2017 (wanted to keep it) and found myself out of the upgrade program. I had to go through the entire process again a few minutes after midnight on launch day unfortunately.
