Being "stuck" with a 5mp shooter is neither here nor there. To be honest, in the past I've had 8 megapixel cameras in my phone and I still turned it down to 5 in the options because I have no need for 8 megapixel pictures.....most people have no use for taking huge pictures, and that's all you gain from more megapixels. It doesn't mean a better picture. As for comparing the 2 cameras, thus far the side by said pics I've seen the Galaxy Nexus either looks better or it is about even. One thing that the galaxy nexus wins hands down though is the shutter speed. It isn't even close. Take a look at this link and you'll see what I mean (they take about 6 shots AND THEN STOP...in the same time it took just to get 3 shots on the 4s). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0fN55W9erM

Sorry but one YouTube video does not make a comparison. I simulated the same test, using my iPhone 4S to take pictures during the time on the video when the Nexus took it' photos and I got off 7 with the using the volume button as shutter and six using the on screen button. And go ahead and call me a skeptic but how do we know that's not an iPhone 4?

Not a snowball's chance in

Nah, but I might regret signing another 2 year contract with AT&T

You doing the same thing at the same time while the video is going would not be the same comparison because your lighting would be different (which can effect shutter speed). It is no secret that the 4s' shutter speed is not amazingly fast.

Here are a few links to get an idea of what I mean:

http://www.gottabemobile.com/2011/10/14/iphone-4s-review/ - "The iPhone 4S camera takes photos with relatively slow shutter speeds in moderate lighting, such as indoors with natural light."

http://www.cnn.com/2011/10/19/tech/mobile/iphone-4s-problems/ - "But the same "shutter speed" issues users have complained about on previous iPhones appear to be back again."

http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105...e-4s-and-canon-powershot-100-hs-shoot-it-out/ - "The iPhone frequently errs on the side of a slower shutter speed"

http://m.ibtimes.com/apple-inc-ipho...creen-download-speeds-sprint-at-t-234903.html - 'The camera of iPhone 4S had a much faster shutter speed than the previous versions but users are still experiencing slow shutters and even stuck shutters. Restarting the phone resolves the stuck shutters. The slow shutters issue isn't with the camera which can take great photos but with shutter itself which some users report won't open after the camera function is launched. The Huffington Post warned that the "infamously-slow iPhone camera shutter appears to be victimizing more would-be photographers on the iPhone 4S."'

-Basically what I'm saying is the 4s' camera is not bad at all, but the shutter speed definitely has room for improvement.
