You're whole post didn't have a single question mark except for the title.

Maybe you should rephrase you're "question".

The 13" has the worst screen resolution BY FAR. What else do you want to know? Worst screen= sweet spot for you? OK.

Sounds like you're looking for people to agree with you and tell you how great your MBP is. I have a 13" mbp. it's not the "sweet spot".

Jesus Christ... Once again, this post has NOTHING to do with the specific Mac Models - only laptop sizes in general. And I don't need anyone to tell me how great a laptop is; that would be pretty pathetic if I did. I'm not going to play semantics with you...how you can start an argument over a discussion on display sizes is beyond me.

I love it when people are rude on forums about "stupid questions" yet they answer anyway. If you're on this site you prolly have nothing better to do.

as for the OP, i agree with you. I think the 13" has a certain coziness to it that the 15 and 17 dont have.

I don't think he was rude at all. I think making up fake quotes that people supposedly said then criticizing them for the quote you made up is rude.

I think he's 100% right.

Used to have a 15.6" HP, good power, but bad size. The 13" is perfect for college students because it can fit on those little swing out desks in lecture halls. With an external, man, you got yourself a great setup for a long time.

didn't i say "processor aside"?????????????????????

We're talking about screens right???????? or size of the physical laptop????????????

Either way 13" mbp is NOT the sweet spot. Get over it already.

MANY people are considering processing power. You're in the wrong forum if you want to talk PC's pal. Sorry.

EDIT:
Processor aside. The monitors are not comparable. 13" HD would make a HUGE difference.

The Air is HD right? that'd be better.

Don't get upset because i won't pat you on the back and tell you how you bought the cheapest/best mac available.

Kauai- How is the 13" mbp better size-wize than the 13" air????

Air is smaller and higher res screen.

I think you want people to tell you how great your computer is and pat you on the back.

Anyone else wouldn't go bigger than a 13"?

Does that say MBP? No? Do you not understand when I tell you that I am talking about all 13" laptops in general when I call them the sweet spot for mobility? Either you're the most dim-witted person in this thread right now or you're just trying to start an argument. Either way, this is pathetic, I'm not going to carry it on from this point.

]and now to a 13" MBP. When I first got the MBP I thought the screen was on the small side and was seriously considering going for one of its larger cousins but now after using it for a few months...I really don't think I could go back. It's the perfect size for a portable computer; especially when I'm on the go like in a car, a Motor-home or an airplane. When I use larger laptops now, they just seem so bulky and unwieldy.

Yes it does. Sorry to upset you.

YOU BOUGHT THE BEST MAC EVER!!!!!!!!!! THE CHEAPEST MAC IS ALSO THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy?

How did we manage when 640x480 was high resolution?
Icons, window borders, menus various widgets and so on were a lot smaller and leaner back then. If you ran an ancient windowing UI meant for 640-rez on today's 1600+ rez screens it would be very hard to use.

the resolution is fine for me, if I'm going to edit or do something where the higher res is required, I'd just dock it and work on my desktop monitor.

you alright there guy? Take a breather.

I'm fine. I answered his question specifically and all i get is an attitude.

You on the other hand say '13" is great as long as i don't have to use a 13" when it's inconvenient'.........

Thanks for the insight.......

The 13" screen size is perfect...it reminds me of the golden ratio. I need more graphics power, though. So my next Apple laptop will be the 15" MBP, not the 13".

I love my 15", but in class I find it kind of big. For school a 13" is probably better.

Actual question =/= My personal experience with a 13" laptop. (Which just happens to be a Mac.)

Unbelievable...

I have the 13" MBP and have loved it. It was my first Mac after being a PC user for years and I have never looked back. I find the 13" to fit my needs - even being a photographer and editing photos.

You are really silly i think. Not one person is including PC's in their answer. This Isn't a PC sight.

You're clueless. You just want people to pat you on your back.

Everything 13" on the market is a HUGE variance. So much so that it makes your question completely stupid. Comparing every 13" notebook available, as a whole, to every 15" notebook on the market, is a waste of time.

Good question though!!!!!

my favorite color is blue....does anyone else think that blue is the best color too?....:D

I LOVE my 13MBP. It's been a great little workhorse.

However, my next machine though will be the base model 15MBP. I need the extra power, and anti-glare hi-res screen for my video work.

I LOVE my 13MBP

He's asking about 13" models IN GENERAL. Including PC'S!!!!!!!!! NOT JUST MACS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JEEEEEEEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!

^scarcasm. This whole thread is pointless.

Just tell him he bought the best computer EVER, and move on.

I'm not really sure if you're a troll or not. I am not asking for a comparison of every 13" laptop out there, you're right, that would be ludicrous. What I am asking for opinions on is one thing that is relatively equal among laptops of the 13" form factor - their 13" size screens and the mobility that lends them. Sure, there are some smaller differences, resolution to name one, but I still think it's a fair question keeping that in mind.

Would you stop with all the exclamation marks? It really makes it hard to take you seriously. Especially when you can't seem to grasp the simple concept of this thread. And I really have no idea where you keep getting this 'I just want to be told I bought the best computer ever' I mean, what...? I'm seriously confused about that.

Don't be confused. It is a fairy question, and you bought the best computer EVER. Be happy.

Way to establish a straw-man... If you really have enough time to be lying in wait soon enough to catch my typo, I feel sorry for you.
