Without delving into some of the silly replies given to this thread, I would say that for me a 15" screen is ideal. The reason for this is that I tend to be a multitasker and my desktop computer is setup with multiple monitors. When I try to use a small screen (relative to my experience) like the 13" it is difficult to adjust to. However, the 15" high resolution MacBook Pro has a more ideal screen size, this allows me to achieve some of the multitasking that I am able to accomplish on my desktop Mac.

I find that my productivity on the computer is a bit dependent on the screen size, thus I prefer the 15" MacBook Pro. The 17" would be nice, although it is a bit on the heavy size and a cumbersome laptop to travel with. Either way, the 15" is the best compromise in size for me.

I've used a 15" windows laptop for 4 years and in a couple weeks I'm getting a 13" macbook pro simply because the screen is 13 inches! Its perfect for portability.

He's asking about 13" models IN GENERAL. Including PC'S!!!!!!!!! NOT JUST MACS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JEEEEEEEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!

^scarcasm. This whole thread is pointless.

Just tell him he bought the best computer EVER, and move on.

People like you are really annoying on this forum. You're flooding the place with all your crap on how you don't like the question. Here's a solution; if you don't like what the OP has to say then don't say anything at all!

It was he that didn't like the answer. I find a lot on this forum people like to type more than read.

Go read his question and my sincere and direct answer(s) and tell me again how annoying i am.

Quite frankly 99% of the respondents to this question misunderstood his question because he didn't phrase it correctly.

and also quite frankly his revised question is stupid.

I completely agree with this post. Both parts of it. the 13" (of any kind, as to not contribute to the already going Mac vs. PC debate in this thread) being great for portability, and the fact that that guy shouldn't even be posting.

I said the same thing you two said on page 1.

Stupid me......

OMG! you're soo annoying

BTW I think 13" is good enough for some kind of works, and for others you definitely need a bigger screen.

+1 for the '13" is great until it's not'

More priceless insight.

The 13" is good for people who do more casual tasks, like surfing the web and basic photo editing, but when you get into stuff like more professional photo works and video editing, you'll need a larger screen. If you do that kind of stuff and need a larger screen that's fine, but you don't need to come in here and start complaining about everyone else's preferences. What you prefer may not be the same as other people, and that's basically the point of this topic, getting peoples preferences. So shut up about "the 13" is crap blah blah blah" and let people post their opinions without having to worry about you criticizing them.

Right on cue.

On page 1 i said 13" macbook air would be good/better because of the higher res.

I am not bashing 13" at all. Did you read the thread?

I'm not the enemy. If you read the thread it's very obvious i tried to help.

EDIT: Also, like i said i own both a 2010 13" and a 2010 15". But since he's not talking about MAC COMPUTERS. My opinion is irrelevant.

Yup. My 2010 i7 2.8ghz 15" HD screen is so much better visual wise than my 2010 13" c2d.

Processor aside. The monitors are not comparable. 13" HD would make a HUGE difference.

The Air is HD right? that'd be better.

His point is the 13" is cheaper than any other MBP. Therefor people will buy it because it's the cheapest mac.

IMO 13" is not the best at at all. 13" is the worst.

15" is available in high res, so is the 17". 13" is the only one that is not.

You're whole post didn't have a single question mark except for the title.

Maybe you should rephrase you're "question".

The 13" has the worst screen resolution BY FAR. What else do you want to know? Worst screen= sweet spot for you? OK.

Sounds like you're looking for people to agree with you and tell you how great your MBP is. I have a 13" mbp. it's not the "sweet spot".

hmm.. not bashing the 13" my ass.

He's talking about ALL COMPUTERS. NOT JUST MAC'S.........

I'm (EDIT: i WAS comparing) comparing macs to macs because apparently i'm an idiot like everyone else and misunderstood. If you disagree please say so. (about what i said, not being an idiot......)

I own them both. If i hated the 13" i wouldn't have it. That's not what he asked. He asked WHAT WAS BETTER.

and quite frankly you posted agreeing with me!!!!!

KYLE IS A 13" BASHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You could have just posted if you liked your 15" or 13" better and for what tasks instead of injecting your views into everyone else's posts. Also, I posted on the first page:

I'd probably have gone for the 15" if I did more gaming or serious photo / video editing. Otherwise, I agree with you that the 13" is the perfect size. When I use my old 15" windoze laptop, I just feel like the screen is way too large.

So as you can see, I have used 13" and 15" laptops, Mac and PC. I honestly like my 13" Mac much better for what I use it for, which is more casual stuff.

I prefer 15". I don't see the point in the 17" as it has only marginally better resolution and no additional hardware (well, EC slot but irrelevant for me).

I owned a 13" BlackBook before my current MBP and I won't go back to a thirteen inch screen.

You say they are a completely different experience, yet you have still tried to compare them multiple times.

Do you not think a 13" MBP and a 13" MBA is comparable kyle???? really?????

OK. Game over for me then i guess.......

EDIT:

BRIEN IS A 13" BASHER!!!!!!!!!!! (lol, just a joke Brien)

THE CAPS ARE FOR EMPHASIS.

MBP reg def and MBA high def is a completely different experience. Clumping them into one category is dumb and pointless IMO.

You seem to contradict yourself a lot..

Kyle: I forgot for a second, he's talking about ALL 13" COMPUTERS!!!!!!!!! Nomatter what.

You lose!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All 13" computers are fair in this thread!!!!!!

EDIT: How old are you kyle? How did i "contradict" myself? Please post specific statements.

LOL, EDIT AGAIN: If those bold is your example of my "contradiction" then you should start going to class,or go back to school. (no offense)
