Stupid question, but I'm only asking since you didn't directly state it, are you running iOS 9 on your phone? watchOS 2 requires iOS 9, if you're still on 8, it won't show up.

Yep, I'm on iOS 9. I guess I could restore the iPhone just to see if that triggers it. Otherwise I'll probably wait until an app I use on the AW updates to give me some incentive.

Digging OS 2, especially the new watch face colors (multi color looks great).

Hopefully we'll see more 3rd party apps/complications soon, it's pretty sparse right now.

I want watchOS 2. I charge my watch every night and check it every morning and it is at a full charge . When I go to check for updates it just spins and spins. Nothing connects to update. Any suggestions?? Yes I do have iOS9 on my 6+ and my new mini 4 and have no problems there.

No issues here, but it's been a pretty disappointing upgrade in terms of features. not much difference between OS2 and OS1.01 from a daily use perspective.

That's the problem with putting too much focus on "new features", you miss all of the good stuff. To be honest I felt the same right after the install but after a few days of use all the subtle changes and updates came to the fore. Apple seems to have polished almost ever aspect of the OS. All small stuff if taken in isolation but when added together, its a truly great update.

I love the new multicolor modular watch face. Also like the color activity icon on the utility face and the new colors on the color face. Have used the time lapse face just a little bit -- but miss the complications, so usually switch back to the data after a short while. All in all, I think OS 2 is a good update on aesthetics for the watch.

The native apps and 3rd party complications are not yet very available, so remains to be seen on those. I am using The Weather Channel and Dark Sky, along with Lose It! so far. Setting up the location detection for the weather apps required turning the location permission off and on again on the phone, but then both worked fine.

So far, so good!

BTW -- I previously had 2 Pebble watches (kickstarter edition -- 2 because the first one suffered a spontaneous, catastrophic display failure), and although I used them all the time, found the aesthetics appalling. The flexibility of screen content was fun (e.g. continuous scores during WC soccer and other sports events), but I trust that more content will come with time for AW. Meanwhile, the beauty of it is very satisfying, in addition to the very adequate functionality.

Forgetting about all the obvious things that most people have mentioned I also like they they've added extra custom replies for your texts up to 20 now. With that, Siri dictation & the other ways to reply it's got me covered for a lot of messages that I get now. Little things like making the passcode entry screen buttons more square makes it easier to unlock if I haven't got my phone around to unlock it with. If I'm having a particularly lazy day the option to mute for the day all activity reminders is a nice edition as well. There's more but little changes like that have made it better as well as the more obvious ones...

Like what? It's virtually the same experience as OS1.01. Maybe a few new colors, but I don't notice any material differences in everyday use. I played with time travel a few times, but that's it. Saw nightstand mode when I was charging my watch.

They still haven't fixed some serious bugs, like the camera connection problem, and how double clicking the side button only brings up credit cards, and not all your other cards. Third party native apps still have problems for many people.

For most people, this update is just going to be about new faces and colors, until third party app makers update their apps for native installation.

Well, besides all the stuff mentioned in this thread and the OS2 roundup, which I'm not going to re-list, they fixed the resting calorie estimate in the fitness app and it seems like they improved the active calorie estimate for indoor workouts as well (have only done one indoor workout so far but it looks more accurate to me and others have said the same thing). That's a big deal to a lot of us. There are many little improvements and fixes like that showing up as we use the watch. Maybe some of them came with iOS 9 or a combination of the 2 OS updates, but they result in a better watch experience.

And not everyone is having issues with native apps - not saying that makes it OK that some are, but the OP asked if anyone was enjoying the update and if they recommend updating, and lots of us can say yes to both questions.
