I've got a spot of something under my screen and a black spot on my antenna band that won't wipe off.

64GB Rose Gold 6S+

I haven't received my 6s yet, but when I received the 6 last year it had a hair under the screen. Trying to get a replacement when everything was crazy backordered was a real pain.

I always seem to get a dead pixel or two on any Apple product I get, but I seem to be okay this time... I think...

I'm on my 7th iPhone 6 in a year because of various defects. But my main concern is the display. All of them I've had and seen out in public have had some part of the screen that was darker than the other or had a yellow tinge. And the color temperature would shift from a yellowish to a cool blue left to right. Whoever Apple had making the displays really did a poor job and most people don't notice these things. It's really distracting when reading black text on a white background. In fact just using this very forum I see it and it drives me nuts. I'm curious to see if the iPhone 6S screens are of better quality and better backlight/color temp uniformity. Please report back!

I just got an iPhone 6S (terrible in-store experience purchasing it today) and turned it on only to discover that the top left 1/4 of the screen is about 30-40% darker than the rest. Super annoying and I'll be returning it within 14 days if it doesn't resolve by itself. Also the color temp uniformity is off left-to-right. Back to my iPhone 6 for now. The 6S is 10% heavier too, you can really feel the difference in your hand and in your pocket, so I'm not even sure I'll get another one when I return the defective unit.

I bought a brand new iPad Mini 4 last week and the display is perfectly uniform, but there are two scratches in the glass by the home button.

Apple really needs to work on quality control.

Ah ha! Guess I won't be buying a 6S. Same crappy screen quality. Thanks for letting me know. Sorry your screen is bad. 6 out of my 7 iPhone 6's were terrible. The one acceptable one I did have had a color uniform screen and one minor blotch that eventually I didn't notice but I sent it back to fix the FaceTime crescent and I was hoping to get back a replacement that had a good screen but it was the same old problem again! I fired up the express replacement and this one too (my 7th!) has a darker upper left (this time usually right) corner and it goes from a warm white to a blue white left to write. Drives me bonkers especially reading in this forum. At least this ones FaceTime camera seems straight for now and I've got a new battery. Guess I'll just have to live with my OCD about the defective screen and hope the iPhone 7 solves this issue or they change the screen tech or hire a new company to produce their screens. Terrible quality control and I'm guessing there will be many more reports of screen uniformity problems on the 6S as time goes.

I'll just post here instead of making a new thread because the forums are probably going to blow up later today. I took a quick look at the phone when I opened the box and noticed this pry mark near the charging port. And the aluminum is bent. It's hard to get a good photo of it. Chances of them replacing it with one that isn't like this? I've never had to take one back because they are usually good.

I'd take that back right away

Same thing here. Upper left is way darker than the rest of the screen.
Also I agree on the QC part. Especially with the iPhone screens. I had lots of bad displays on the 6, too. Some had the "interlacing" issue, some had very ununiform backlight, etc. And with every display swap because of a shifting front camera, I went through the display lottery again. Really bad.

My new 6S Plus is completely dead out of the box. I have it plugged in trying to charge it, hoping the battery is just dead, but it is not looking good.

I have what seems like a dead pixel to the right of the battery icon on my 6s Plus.

It looks like a black smudge.

I've had the iPhone 4, 4s, 5, 5s, 6 Plus and now 6s Plus.

This is the first screen defect I've had.

I am noticing some wifi issues as well as the earpiece on phone call seems too have like a buzz/vibrate sound of sorts. Anyone else hear that?

Sorry to see that. Definitely need to exchange it for a new one.

got two 6 plus 128GB, both have a blueish tinge on left edge of screen, almost like the book spine effect frequently seen on the ipad air 2s, not as bad but noticeable. One of them has noticeable and truly unacceptable backlight bleed on the lower left hand side.

One one of them the apple logo is not quite flush with the back case and feels like its petruding a tiny bit, and on the right top side of teh upper antenna break, the space grey finish looks damaged.

i am going to return the one with the backlight bleed immediately and maybe try to exchange for a 6s; the other i will keep for at least a few days as I am still unsure whether I want to stick with the plus.

BTW, the image stablization on the plus is AMAZING and right now is the thing giving me the most pause in gonig back to a 6S size.

It was also amazing how tiny my 6 felt after only an hour or so with the plus.

Another thing: My 6s actually crackles when I apply force to the screen. I guess that should not be the case with a pressure sensitive display. (No, it is not the taptic engine)

This all sounds so typical of Apple products. It's a shame. I'm still waiting on mine, and it is beginning to be something I'm dreading. Good luck to all. If you bought direct from Apple, I'd just send it back to them and buy another one, despite the wait. I think this is a reason not to buy from carrier "just in case."

Nothing major, but I noticed my lock button is more sinked inside and its a bit harder to press compared to my 6 plus.
