Honestly, the amount of complaining in this thread is astonishing. Unless Apple is breaking your contract you have little to nothing to complain about. The vast majority of this thread is bellyaching about not getting a check as fast as you would like, with 99% of those checks arriving within the allotted 45 days.

They are rolling out a new reporting system and reports are out later than we have grown to expect, not later than defined by the terms of your contract. Do you know when your February reports are due by? April 14th. Read your contract.

I think some folks need to exercise some patience and step back and realize how good you have it as an iPhone developer. If you don't think you have it good, then move on to a different platform.

+1 +1 +1!!!!! Finally someone had the balls to say it.

I can only speak for my self, but in my case, I received timely payments last year, and as of today, all my USA payments have been on time also, my only concern is with some regions, I have not received GB, EU, CA, JP since december, we are talking more than 45 days. But at the end, this is like a support group, what else can we do? Just hope that the system gets better, and everyone can get paid in a timely manner. Payment on time = happy developer = better apps. :)

Yes more money=better updated apps

Don't get me wrong, if you have a legitimate problem like nonpayment for three months, then you have reason to complain. But for the most part I'm just seeing a lot of "gimme my money now!" and cries of Apple sucks for a week delay.

It is still a new system and it will have its kinks and problems, but all in all I think Apple has provided us all with an amazing opportunity that should not be quickly taken for granted.

It's been well over 45 days and I still don't have my EU payment. If it's not in my account by tomorrow, I am contacting Apple.

Yeah but there is no reason for a delay. Apple is a Billion dollar company it should not take 45+ days to pay someone.

I am also a Google Android Developer and it does not take google long to pay us!. I uploaded a application March, 2, 2009 and i already gotten paid for it on the 16th.

If Google can do it so should apple

Then leave the iPhone. No one gives a **** about your bitching. Boohoo, Apple takes 45 days to pay. You ****ing knew that when you began developing, it was spelled out very clearly in the contract.

Of course there's a reason. They make interest off that 45 days (45 days interest on roughly a billion dollars per annum in sales is not a small amount of money).

And you agreed to a contract giving them the 45 days. So go kick yourself.

Maybe you need to take apple Coc***K out your mouth. Its not that serious. Your mad someone is taking shots at your beloved apple?

Grow up

Grow up? Look, we understand you're disappointed that Apple hasn't paid you sooner than they need to, but there's no need for such language. Your thread started out as 'Anyone get paid yet?', and people have answered yes or no, with specifics.

But that wasn't enough, so you've been whining about Apple. Perhaps you should start a new thread, or website for that matter, entitled 'who wants to whine about Apple?' In other words, take it outside.

FWIW, Apple taking 45 days to pay is actually pretty good these days. Most companies are running net 60 days on payouts now, and one major company has moved to net 120. That's a full quarter.

As a business owner, that makes sense. You want to pay your bills as late as possible so you realize interest on the money while you wait. I understand that as a content provider you want your money as soon as possible, but frankly, you signed a contract knowing full-well that it might take 45 days.

Is Apple making more money by delaying payment? Yes. Of course they are, and that is why they are in business (to make money). I assume that is why anyone is in business, and as such shouldn't be arguing about something they decided to agree to in the first place.

Do others get paid sooner? I'd think so. A company with a popular game doing a million dollars a month can probably negotiate the amount of time until payment with Apple. If you are doing that kind of volume, give them a shout. Otherwise, sack up and live by the terms of your agreement.

Thank you for making complete sense, and giving an adult, grown-up answer.

I'm on day 53 for my EU payment for January for a total of $1300. I have been paid from all regions on time many times before. I'm living up to my end of the deal. Apple, on the other hand, currently isn't.

Just my current experience.

Sounds like capitalism to me. No further comments really needed. *Shrug*

Thanks for your answer. Seems like good old fashion "Greed" to me. But hey can't really get mad. This is Corporate America. Why do you think it takes 12 weeks just to get a $50 dollar mail and rebate back!. So they can build interest i guess.

:D

You are wanting to get paid far more quickly than you agreed to and you are accusing others of being greedy. Really?

Not only greed and the money issue but the developer support is very weak. 2-3 Weeks for a application to get approved.

Offer Apple another 30% of sales so they can hire another couple dozen testers.

I would offer up to 50% if it would mean better Developer support.

Apple Market Cap was $80 Billion Dollars Last Year. With that kind of money you can Hire a Whole State if they want too.;)

I certainly wouldnt want to give up more of a %. I dont mind waiting for a week or so for my app to get reviewed.. besides most of the time it takes less than a week.

With regards to financial reports and payments being delayed sure its annoying, and I think the worst thing is lack of communication, but thats typical of Apple. Im assuming its down to the changes with the contracts recently that we had to agree to, with the new regions etc

Update: Just got my financial report through from the US for Feb! Better that I thought too ;)

Also, quick question: how do you match the payments to the which region?

I just noticed I got paid (not the amount from the USA) but I havent had any other financial reports through yet.
