I thought that and made a huge mistake of getting a Samsung S6 a few days ago and I hated it so much and just couldn't get my head around android I returned it and back to my iPhone

If your phone causes you to feel bordem then your too dependent on your phone. A phone cannot bring happiness and contentment to ones life, but rather is a tool to be used in making ones life easier.

I have said the same thing a few times before. When someone stole my iPhone 6 while I was away for training, the Galaxy S6 had just come out and it seemed really intriguing, but I ended up getting another iPhone. I made that mistake with my previous work phone and my personal phone once or twice switching to Android, but every month further into that contract I was just waiting for my upgrade. Our whole ecosystem in the house is all Apple, so it all runs seamlessly together for me.

That is just it though, the iPhone is very limited in what it can do. While it suits me for private use there is no way I could use it as my sole phone.

Have an Iphone 6 that I really liked but I picked up a Nexus 6 and like it better. The large screen is great. I don't make typing mistakes. I actually switched my phone numbers to make the Nexus my daily driver. I still have some love for the Ip6, but it is starting to collect some dust. Apple needs to make a large phone without a huge head and chin area. Use Force Touch for the fingerprint scanner or put it on the back. I'm out for this falls upgrades.

I had the 6+ when it came out in Sept and I lost it in Vegas in December. So, got another 6+. But then the S6 Edge came out and I had to have it. Went with Android for almost 2 months but I really didn't like the lag so I went and bought the 6. I am constantly moving from phone to phone but in the end, I always go back to iPhone.

I've only had iPhones since the 3g. But now it seems like the more the iPhone ages the more its just the same. I remember when i went from the 4 to the 5s. that was a big jump. Now i have the 6plus which i almost traded for a 6 recently only because of pocket ability (plus cash on their end) but i know i'll just go back, i've gotten used to the size already. I kind of wish there were more optimized apps for landscape mode on the plus. I've contemplated about trying a galaxy note or s6 edge or something like that. But i'm too used to iOS. and i keep hearing how android phones either come with bloatware or people run into problems. they do look like really nice phones though.

your thoughts?
Bloatware for sure, Third Party Apps an issue… Customizing is nice to change it up but Lags and conflicts are noticeably in Performance…

Don't do it.

Worst decision I ever made, finally coming home to ios in sept with the iphone 6s+.

How can Sony ship a 2gb ram device with better processor and yet the phone crawls at a snails pace compared to an iphone 5 and constantly crashes simply surfing the web.
Android is a nightmare packaged under the lofty ideals of freedom, yet they don't give you the freedom to remove the bloatware from both manufacturers and mobile networks.

And my mobile phone is literally falling to pieces, the waterproofing has pealed away and the port covers were lost within months thanks to the puny attachment.

I haven't got the feeling of being bored, just a feeling of absolute desperation to rid myself of this phone.

Unfortunately everyone is. The stats say an average college student is on their phone for 9 hours per day. Other adults, are close to 8. People are addicted to their devices, and naturally want it to do more. Like someone who is addicted to a particular drug, eventually you want more to get the same high you used to get with your 3GS.

Well said my friend.

That's why I stay away from Carrier branded phones, and those that don't run stock. Sure you can disable the apps so they will never run again, but it never gets rid of them without root. I would guess you have the Z2?

Z1, think the Z2 has 3gb ram but built with the same housing (like an iphone s upgrade) so don't think they've done anything to fix the physical build quality.

I will be buying my iphone outright (like I used to) and I usually avoid carrier phones at all costs. But I couldn't say no to the offer when I decided to jump ship to android as it worked out £100 cheaper than buying directly.

At least that's one assurance with Apple -- that if you're having a problem with your phone, or there are build quality issues, you'd both 1) hear about it everywhere in the news and 2) they'd be happy to sort it out for you.

In my experience with computers and devices in general, it's sometimes not about the specs and claimed features, but more about the aftersales support and how well the features work. I don't care what specs I get from HP for instance as I know that if it goes wrong, I'm going to have a torrid experience with their support team.

I see the OPs point, the iPhone and iPad for that matter are very limited to what they can do so it is easy to get bored with them but at the end of the day what they do they do very well.

Yeah the OP is just stating the obvious which is the wow factor goes away more and more which each new phone. Looking at the original iPhone was a much neater experience than looking at the iPhone 6. It's like anything else. The first time you see it the wow factor is going to be the highest even if it's a more primitive version. The first time you saw a plasma TV is going to be a lot neater than seeing a top of the line plasma 10 years later.

Sometime I get bored, but what I do is download more games. They say android is not boring because you can do whatever you want from themes to fonts but I prefer iphone because doesn't complicate my life at all. HAHA! And you will always get bored if all you have to do the whole day is use your phone and play with it. We always need a break. :)

Yeah, the Z1 and Z2 were disappointing to many people. Heck the only good phone out if their line is the Z3 as the Z4 uses the Snapdragon 810 and has heat warning signs next to it on display at some carriers.

That is a good deal for a phone. I'm jumping from my 2014 moto X to the new iPhone this fall, as I am unable to put down my 2nd gen mini and I'm getting bored of Android and love the apps on iOS a lot more; customizing is still fun though. I have the opposite problem of the OP :)

Every time I see one of these threads, I wonder if the OP was using phones before the release of the original iPhone.

"Man, I sure am getting bored with Snake on my Nokia brick phone. Maybe I should switch to the other brick phone and see what colorless games they offer."

If you're criteria for an Android phone is one that runs stock Android, you basically are limiting yourself to just the Nexus phones.
