Just ordered a used S7 45mm Alum ($250) to replace my AW3. The 3 works fine with 96% battery life left but thought it was a good time to upgrade. Not a heavy user but I wear it everyday. I saw most A7's were higher prices. I think this is because the 8 offers very little over the 7.

Went with a technically brand new S6 SS 40mm customer return from Amazon for £300 this week so very pleased with that deal.

Mine was a late 2019 purchase, of a watch that was manufactured in late 2018 based on the serial number, so I'd say that's pretty good! These would probably last forever if the software support hadn't been dropped.
I tried the Ultra but in the end returned it, stayed with my SBTi series 7 which still looks like new with 100% battery capacity. Disappointed in Apple’s series 8 offering.
