I can't believe it, but after two years with a plus (6+ and then 6s+) I ordered the regular 7 this year. I am beyond excited to move back to a small phone. I am disappointed that some of the features on the 7+ won't be on the 7, but I'm hoping I will adjust quickly to the size. It's truly going to feel like an all new phone this year. One of my new cases came in the mail today and it's so cute I can't stand it! So excited to make the change. Feels weird though. My husband doesn't think I'll make it and has predicted I'll be at the Apple Store a few days after launch trying to exchange. We will see...

I'm getting a 7. It's a perfect size for me, but I'm sorry I can't get the new camera.

7 buyer. Prefer small over large. I would like to have the dual lens camera, but I am waiting to see how it performs.

When the 6 came out I went with the smaller size as the plus had ridiculous bezels. Gonna go on 3 years now with that terrible design while companies like Samsung are making phones almost iPhone 6 size with a 5.5" screen.. Apple, I know you can do better than this.

Will get the plus next year if they actually fix their design, this year was boring as hell (there is a reason I don't buy on S years and this is just another S year).

I am getting the 7 over the 7 plus as the 7 plus was sold out by the time I got into the app to pre-order. I realized that I will be happy with the 7 as the battery life is much improved over the 6S and the dual camera is kind of gimmicky just for the zoom.

I tried the 6/6s Plus but ultimately moved back to the 6/6s. I liked the larger, higher-resolution screen and superior battery life (who wouldn't?), but the Plus just looked obnoxious in the pocket of my fitted dress pants. It created a great big budge on my side that just looked unprofessional at work.

My co-workers have clips/holsters to wear the 6/6S Plus on their sides, which look OK, but I just don't care to wear my phone that way. I prefer to have a phone that disappears into my pocket.

Now that the 7 and 7 Plus have similar battery life and the same OIS camera, I don't see a compelling reason to make the switch.

Of course... The 7+ is 10% heavier than the 6S+. A lot of buyers will regret their buying decision and exchange them for the smaller iPhone 7 or simply just go for Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

I'm debating it. Have a 7 on order for pickup on the 16th. But may attempt to switch to a Plus if they have any in stock.

The 6S alone with my usage did not give me lasting battery for the entire day. Combined with the iPhone smart case it did, but it made the phone heavier than a 6s Plus.

If I do end up needing the Apple Smart case for the 7, I would be better served just to get the 7 Plus.

Ive had the 6 plus, and am currently using an S7 for work and S7 edge for personal. I'm probably gonna go back to one phone as I'm tired of carrying 2 phones. As much as I didn't really like the 6 plus size, I just can't go smaller than what I have now. I ordered a 7 plus. I am hoping to run without a case, with Applecare, of course.

I had the 6+, then the 6s only because I straight up couldn't find a 6s+ near launch and I got impatient and convinced myself I would like it.....in short I hated it. It's a wonderful phone but after using the bigger phone I just found it to be a much better experience. I got used the bigger size within a few days and after that it was just awesome. The battery was absolutely the biggest factor. The battery on the 6+ absolutely shredded the newer 6s by at least 5-6 hours per day (YMMV). Super excited to get my jet black 7+ :) and my tiny handed wife is moving up to the plus as well

Whatever you end up with I hope you love it.

For 2 years I had the 6+ and 6s+, now downgraded and ordered the regular 7. For simple reason, the plus is not comfortable in use and the pocket. I hoped that Apple would change the design this year, beacuse of the bezels, but they didn't. So I will go with the regular 7 till the 8 comes out, then I will decide again.

Ive had a 6+ for the last couple of years and it was great when I was working in an office, but I'm out and about more now and spend a lot of time driving so have gone for the 7. My 6+ is bent slightly, which I think is from being in my jeans pocket in the car for hours and days on end. Given the position it's in, that's not unreasonable. I have dropped it a few times as well though on concrete, but hardly a mark on it considering I've gone careless. Very impressive durability.

Yes. I went 6S Plus last year, but I've found over the last year that I don't like the larger size. I don't like the phone going into Landscape mode in Mail or on the springboard, and setting rotation lock means having to toggle it off and on when I want to watch a video or use the camera. I'm going back to the regular 7 this year and expect to have few - if any - regrets.

I always get the regular size. Now if I didn't have a desktop, iPad, and laptop I would probably get the bigger device. I'm never too far away from something bigger if I need it and the smaller device fits me better for phone use.

Great point! This is one of the things that I found really annoying. It would be nice if you could turn on/off this feature...but you can't! Definitely not going with the plus size again.

I'm even toying with the option of buying (outright) a 64GB SE to get me through the next year when I'm betting the fresh redesign will come. Since all options of the regular 7 are still available for delivery on Sept 19, I'm sure I'll be able to walk in one of our 3 Apple Stores in my area (Atlanta) and pick one up on Friday if the 7 is the way I choose to go. So, I'm not pre-ordering.

Gonna wait till next Friday to decide between the se (full payment) or regular 7 (Apple Upgrade Plan).....but definitely not the plus.

I always go with the non-plus versions. I have really small hands so I imagine the pluses would be nearly unusable for me. Heck, I can't even reach the top half of my 6s's screen one handed without seriously stretching. I like the extra features of the plus line but practicality wins out.

7 here after having the 6 Plus and 6S Plus. I love the features of the Plus, but it's too uncomfortable to use. Apple need to follow the competition and put a large display into a smaller package. The Note 7 has a large display than the Plus in a much smaller and more comfortable design.

I can't go back down to a smaller phone since I've had the 6 plus since launch. I'm used to it now and can still type with one hand.

For months I knew I was going to be getting the new phone no matter what features it had as my 6+ is starting to show its age, and I went back and forth in my mind as to which one to buy. The keynote made me decide to go with a 7+ because of the cool camera and 3gb of ram vs 2gb, but major issues during my preorder process cause me not to be able to get one for launch day despite staying up until 2am central just to order.

I ended up ordering a standard 7, matte black, 256gb from AT&T yesterday because it still said they'd be delivered launch day. Since the camera is the main reason I wanted the 7+ in the first place, I decided a standard 7 was fine. I love the big screen but I won't miss fumbling the thing around constantly.

May still check the brick and mortars in my town on launch day to see if they have any 7+ in matte/jet black in stock. If they do I'll have a decision to make - if they don't, I'll stick with the standard 7!
