The screen isn't the issue but the bezels. Shrink the bezels and 5.5" would be fine. As it stands it's a larger phone than some 5.7" screen devices like the Note 5.

Apple needs to get rid of the huge bezels and home button to make the Plus less ridiculous to carry. Then you could have 5" in the same size devices as the smaller one too.

The struggle is real indeed. Ordered a 6S preorder then swapped it the next day for a 6S+ and wondering if I made the right decision. Love the phone, screen size, camera and battery but it's just freaking large.

Last year I got the 6 Plus and hated the size so I switched for a 6 and was happy for a year but then had the itch for a new phone, the 6S didn't feel NEW to me but this 6S+ does. My worry is that next year when they redesign that it ends up being the same screen sizes as currently out but finally shrink the bezel which then would KILL resell value.

I have 13 more days to decide what I want to do. Ugh.

On top of that struggle the next struggle is color. Since the iPhone 3G I've always had white. I did buy a slate iPhone 5 but after all the scufffgate and if you sneeze you get nicks on the edge I switched to white. So that's 7 white iPhones. Got black for the 6S+ and don't know how I feel about it.

Shrinking the bezels won't kill resale value. Not that many people care.

In the same boat. Received my 6s plus today. While I do enjoy the bigger screen, the portability of the 6s I miss. I will give it a week to see if I can adjust.

hmm my decision may swing back to the 6S+, i have both the 6s and 6s+ and my 6s is lagging all over the place while my 6s+ is smooth. same settings on both phones, running 9.1 b3

I've experienced using the 6 plus for a year. I've been a iPhone lover since the 4s. Actually had the 6s+ in rose gold (such a beautiful device) but I quickly realized how much I hated the white bezel and it was too pink for my taste. Was going to switch to a 6s+ space grey but decided to downgrade to a 6s instead. The difference in screen clarity isn't really huge, both have the same processors and camera pixels (biggest difference is 6s doesn't have the OIS) my pics still came out nice. I didn't realize how much I missed the one handed use and portability the 6s gives. I was able to use the 6s+ one handed too at times but not easily. I really felt that I needed the bigger phone to read my emails for work but the 6s is just fine for that too.

The main reason I switched is that I have an iPad Air 2 (which I love for face time and I can make calls from it too) and a Macbook Pro (that I'm obsessed with) so I can get my big screen fix from those devices and decided I didn't need a phone Phablet after all. I also started to feel bad that I spent a zillion dollars on my iPad and never use it since I use my phone all the time. I think if you don't have any other Apple products that a 6s+ would be a good choice and perhaps for people who spend their time on the road (I work from home so I always have access to my stuff) but if you have other gadgets the 6s+ can get tiresome and it really is a big ass phone.

I got the 6 at launch, switched to 6+ two months later, and used it and loved it till about two weeks ago. Then switched to a 6 on a whim and I can't believe how good the portability and one handed use feels. I'm a big dude and could pull of one handed use most of the time, but it anyways felt awkward and clumsy.

It was also always pulling my pants down at the gym lol.

Getting a 6S.

I was all set to switch back to the 6S today, but couldn't do it. After owning a 6 Plus for the past year I know I'll regret going back to the smaller 4.7" screen, as well as missing the 2+ days of battery life that I'm getting now with the 6 Plus. There are times when I'd like to have a smaller phone. However, I love the larger screen too much to go back to anything smaller. I found a great hand strap on Amazon for my long distance runs with my 6 Plus, that will work well with the 6S Plus too. I also found a nice small pack to keep my Plus in when I'm Power Lifting at the gym, so it doesn't get banged around from the free weights.

Last year I got the 6 Plus. Coming from a 5s, it seemed huge. After a week, I returned it for a 6 which I used for three months before switching carriers and facing the choice once again. I went with the plus again since I figured the jump from 6 to 6 plus wouldn't be as drastic as the 5s to 6 plus was. I used the 6 Plus for 4 months before I once again missed the size of the 6. I purchased a 6 and put my 6 plus in the drawer.

This time around, I briefly considered the plus but quickly realized how tiring the size became once the new wore off. I miss the display of the plus, but I never could become fully comfortable with the size of the device. Picked up the 6S at launch and so far it is great. if the 6S had a 1080 display and OIS it'd be perfect.

went with a 6s, though I was hoping to get a 6s plus on launch day. I'm starting to think this was a good thing, though a small battery bump would be nice. I now mostly use a Mophie case, which make my 6s heavier than a 6s plus. If I could get a 20-25% battery jump, Id definitely go bigger. Jury is still out?

I have an iPhone 6, but is now considering to switch to the 6s+. Given the size is big, having a 6S+ will save my money for buying a new iPad.
