I nearly went for a 6 plus when I got my 6 last year, but felt it was just a bit too big. When the S was announced, I decided that I was going to wait out for the 7. However, O2 brought out some really good deals on the 6S and 6S Plus (30GB data, free insurance and a free upgrade after 12 months) so I had another look at the 6S Plus.
This time, I felt the size wasn't so much of an issue (probably because I've been using a 6 for a year) and decided to pull the trigger on a silver 128GB 6S Plus (I was tempted to get a rose gold / pink one but they didn't have any in stock).

After trading in my 6 in store (I got £300, which is less than I could have got on eBay but also a lot less hassle and in line with what other recyclers were offering), the upgrade only cost me £70.

The phone costs £5 a month more than the 6 did and the 30GB (with the free insurance and free upgrade next year) contract £5 a month more than my old 20GB one did so all in all a pretty good deal

I've only had the phone for a few days, but I've not found an issue with the size at all and absolutely love it :D

I also traded in my 5S for a 6 thinking that the Plus was just too big for me. Then when people around me that I see all the time had one, I started holding theirs more. I just couldn't go back to my small phone screen after that.

Thankfully it's an S year so that means quality upgrades and refinements. Got my beauty of a 6S Plus on the IUP, sold my 6 on eBay for $450. I will never go back to smaller screens or form factors after this. It's the perfect size.

I went from 6 to 6s+. It turns out I like them about the same, so I will probably just move back to the smaller one next year.

I decided to give it a try. After using the iPhone 5 for two years I thought the 6 would be hard to get used to since it's slightly larger. I got used to it already after a couple of weeks and wish I had chosen the 6+ instead. This year I will definitely go with the 6s+. I believe it's the perfect size. I'm not sure if I need it though. I work at the office and most of the time my phone is just laying around. When I'm at home I use my iPad. We'll see how things work out.

I did!
Last year I got both in order to test drive them. I kept the regular 6.
The Plus was underpowered and too laggy for me. On top of that even the regular 6 felt like it needed some getting used to.
This year the 6S Plus feels right in my hands, thanks to the year spent with the 6.
Moreover, the new processor and 2 gigs of ram make this phone what the 6 Plus should've been!
Needless to say, I feel safer putting this phone in my pockets as supposed to last year's model when it felt really fragile and I was afraid of bending it.

After a lot of to and fro, I too went for the bigger one.. Just loving it since day 1.. The bigger size is just right for me to type as i have got big hands. Reading and browsing web is a pleasure on the bigger screen estate.. And not to mention the battery and OIS on video.. The phone normally is lasting me for 2 days..

I went from the 6 to the 6S Plus and man what I've been missing for a year. It's like I have a mini MacBook with me everywhere I go. Before I would rarely use my phone for much other than the social apps that are on it but now I see myself playing games and using word processors and even posting on forums because I can actually read on this screen.
It is amazing an I will honestly never go back.
The battery life is just a whole other situation, I can very easily get about 2 days of use on my phone and sometimes I find that I don't even get it up to 100% because it is such a large capacity.

Tl;dr: buy a plus model phone it's how it's meant to be, worst case return it after 2 weeks for the smaller one.
