My position as of right now, as well.
No idea what color though.
Personally I'm going with the silver. Previously, I've had mostly white iPhones; I tried the SG 6 and didn't love it.

Now, if they went back to the slate color, it would be a different story.

Yeah I'm stuck. This is always such a hard decision. I don't know why, it just is.

We used to have one type/color to choose from, but a few different storage capacities.

Then we got 2 colors, with the different storage capacities.

Then we got 3 colors, with the different storage capacities.

Then we got 3 colors, 2 different phone sizes/types, and different storage capacities.

Now we are going to have 4 colors, 2 sizes, and the different storage capacities.

They keep making it harder for extremely indecisive people like me!! :)

I had a silver iPhone 5s which was really nice. I went back to Space Grey for the 6, and definitely love the black bezels. Seems to be much easier on my eyes and the content really pops out.

But I still have no clue what I'm getting. I'm almost ready to start a poll at work and let everyone else decide for me.

Part of me wants the gold as I haven't had that color yet.

Part of me wants the silver because it's a slick phone and doesn't have the bling bling gold look, it's a bit more subtle.

Part of me wants to go with Rose Gold since it's the new color and will catch people's eyes.

Then part of me wants to stick with Space Grey because it's manly, sleek, and classic.

*sigh*

Talk about the definition of first world problems. :)

I hope everyone is excited. This time of the year kicks ass.

Spent the last year with the 6+ and I'm going for a 6. Even with the thinnest case I can find it seems too big for daily use.

When the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus were released, I was conflicted on which to purchase. I ultimately decided to go with the iPhone 6. I don't regret it, but I've always wondered what it would be like to own an iPhone 6 Plus. I've liked its size when checking out a friend's, or store model, but I'm not sure what it would be like as a daily driver.

I've upgraded my iPhone every year since the first. This year, I'm considering going with the 6S Plus. My only concerns are that it will be too large for some of my pockets or too unwieldy to use the way I'm used to using my iPhone.

Another concern is getting used to such a large screen. I'm afraid if I get used to it, I won't be able to go back to a smaller screen. I know I'll like the larger screen, but if I end up not liking having such a large phone in general, I will have to downgrade. Alternatively, if the iPhone 7 isn't offered in the same size, I'll have to get used to a smaller screen again, which will be tough since the iPhone 5 seems tiny to me now.

Anyway, is anyone else thinking about upgrading to the 6S Plus from a 6? What's your take on it?

I've debated the same thing. I'm staying w/ my 6, then 6s until Apple decides to shrink the overall dimensions of the + models (removing the bezels)

I went with the 6 for the same reasons as you but now that I've seen the Plus in person I really wish that is what I got instead. However I don't want to spend the money to buy the 6s Plus this year. I know I could sell my old 6 but I would still probably be shelling out a couple hundred to get a 6s Plus (I buy my phones unlocked)

Yes I am thinking of this as well. The Plus actually has torn holes in quite a few of my jeans.

Thank goodness for first world problems. I do have serious problems in my life like anybody else plus the real news sucks as always what with ISIS pillaging and doing ugly things to innocent people. I love coming here around release dates. It's like the holidays for gadget freaks. It helps me deal with the rest of the crap when I'm not here.

I was fairly certain of what I wanted at the beginning of summer. I wanted to downsize. Then I was sure of going with gold or rose gold. Then I was sure I couldn't or would not preorder and would buy it when it was abundantly stocked in the store. Now as the time approaches I'm completely uncertain about anything.

I was sleep deprived and half delirious when I chose between two models of Apple Watch. That worked out well for me. Since my sleep schedule is all messed up now and staying up late for preorders won't necessarily mess me up this year, maybe I'll just get really drunk instead. Not drunk enough to order a Samsung by mistake. Just drunk enough that my subconscious will choose for me and I'll be surprised by my choice when I sober up.

Oh wait, I am a mother and don't have the luxury of getting truly drunk. Especially not on a school night. Great. Well alright then, is there an App for making these decisions?

I had both for months and ultimately stuck with the 6. Loved the screen size and battery life on the plus but found it too sluggish/laggy and it's extra size forced some changes to the way I used a phone. Haven't regretted the choice of staying with the 6 so sticking with this size and pre ordering a 6s 64gb this time as opposed to 128gb. Never the maxed out the storage once.

That's the plan for me. I bought the 6 Plus but the lag was too much for me and it scared me to think of it running iOS 9. I was very disappointed when I learned it only had one gig but I thought it would have been okay.

The only reason I even upgraded from an old Motorolla flip phone to a smart phone was to have a good camera so the 6 Plus was idea for me on paper, that OIS really helped take the already great camera that much better. I'm anxiously awaiting the 6S Plus' camera, if the rumors are true we're in for a great camera.

Is it the downscaling that gives us the lag? The latest rumor is the downscaling is gone. If so, it's going to be interesting to see how the 6S Plus performs now.

I don't think it is the scaling because there is dedicated hardware on the CPU for that. The problem is the higher resolution content that has to be rendered then scaled.
Hopefully 6S Plus with A9 will have no lags, no matter what the resolution will be

Ideally that would be great. If that is the case and I was looking at going back to the larger iPhone I would have no reservations this time. I may yet be swayed following the announcement. But I just really like the smaller phone for everyday use. And i do have a larger hand. Not long to go now.

Going with a regular 6s. Once you put a case on the 6 plus, the phone is just massive. I saw a note 4 the other day and thought that phone looked tiny. It was a note 4 for God's sake. Phones are just getting massive.

Some are, yes. I saw a fully armored 6 Plus and thought, there's no way I want to carry that.

But then I saw a 6 Plus with just a bumper on it, and that seemed perfectly reasonable to me.

I think I'm leaning toward a 6S Plus, assuming that I can get away with just a bumper, but also assuming that it's available on "The Day."

If it's not available, I'll do just fine with a 6S. :)

There are a lot of us in this situation. I have a 6 now and REALLY wanna do the Plus but just like last year I'm really on the fence. The thing IS huge and the 6 is pretty good in the hand. Not as good as the 5 but still good. I still say the 5S design was the best to date!

Not necessarily. It all depends on what case you use. I have a snug fitting clear polycarbonate case and it adds virtually no bulk to the phone. In fact you don't even realise it's there. Funnily enough I still reach into my pocket from time to time to make sure my phone is still there as I can't feel it.

Stopped in the Apple Store and played around and 6+ is just too big. What finally made me decide to stay "small" with the 6 was trying to press the back button (like in photos in the top left corner). I just cannot reach it. I really hope they squeeze is in a bigger display to the 6 profile OR make reachability useful on 6+. It should shrink the screen down to a classic size, iPhone 5 size or even 6 size like (dare i say it) the one hand mode that the note's have. Not sure why this hasn't been done.

So you can just swipe back and forth, works great!

There are other issues with the same thing. I just can't reach up and don't wanna trade one hand usage for a battery and screen. It's a shame.

I got 6plus on release and 6 for my wife. after 10 days I changed for a 6 myself.... what a nightmare. I could not adjust to the smaller screen but most importantly to the shorter battery life as I use a phone to work a lot. In the end, I ended up selling the 6 on Ebay and getting a 6plus 1 week later. I have not regretted it and ordered a 6sPlus now....
BTW: I saw the 6 on an Otterbox defender case and it is massive

I thought the Plus would be too big for me, that I'd look ridiculous with it even though I'm not even a tiny person. I also take my phone everywhere at work, I work in a lab and am always listening to my podcasts throughout the day with my phone in my back pocket while I'm working, and I go for long walks with my dog and need to stash it somewhere on my person a lot. So I got the 6, and the size is honestly just big enough to still be nice and portable...it's great but I'm still jealous of the extra real estate some of my friends have. And the resolution, the landscape format, etc.

Decided to go up to the 6s+ (giant pink phone!!) and see how it goes. I know I'll love the features and the screen size, and I figure with yearly upgrades even if I decide it's too unwieldy I can always go back to the regular size when the 7 comes out.

I worry about how often I back pocket my phone throughout the day and will have to find a different habit (I don't get the luxury of deep front pockets mens' clothes have, sigh). But I have a flipbelt for running with it, and I'm gonna get myself a wallet case to slip it into like the phablet it is ;) Honestly can't wait.
