I have a case on mine but if the new phone is anything like the watch, which is made of the same materials, it'll be pretty tough. I'd say you probably have to drop it on pavement or other very hard surface to scratch it. My watch still looks like it did in May when I took it out the box.

I usually do in the morning (unless I forgot to charge it during the night)

About 5 month in I removed my leather case of my 6 plus, as it added too much bulk and have been careless since.

The 6 plus held up well, the body that is, the screen had lots of micro scratches etc. Phone feels so much better without a case

My 6S plus is also naked. I got apple care + and just plan to use the phone as is, worst happens I'll use my AppleCare replacement.

The apple leather case is about as close to naked as it gets

How do you get micro scratches on it unless you at around a lot of sand. Not many minerals can scratch the sapphire only w couple

Had the 6 since launch with no case. Agree with only the micro scratches from jeans. 6S plus will also be caseless.

The phones are not sapphire btw.

Lots are people are. You are see them by googling "iPhone" + "naked"...
I don't know how they are hold up though ;)

I had micro scratches on 6+ also... Got glass screen cover this time... That, Power Support air jacket and AppleCare plus should be perfect combo!

I always use my phones naked. For the first time ever, I am considering the midnight blue apple leather case though. It just looks so damn nice!

I have always used my iPhones without any cases or protectors (since iPhone 4s, every model). Never dropped or anything, I am very careful with my devices. Never had any scratches or scuffs, though I never looked for micro scratches on screen under direct light.

For the first time ever, I dropped my phone last night on to a concrete pavement (6s, space gray). I was holding shopping bags and it slipped from my hand (how silly of me), landed screen first, bounced and rested on its back. I was sure it is done for good, I never get Applecare+ or stuff, but amazingly, not a single scratch apart from an extremely minor scuff at the bottom left.

Absolutely no scratches on screen and body, and yes I checked under direct light. I am simply amazed and delighted, never knew it could come out scratchless or without a blemish from such a drop on concrete.

Lesson learned: need to be more careful, still going without cover or cases :D.

No screen protector here, but I have Apple's leather case on it since it's too slippery.

Went case-less with the 6. Too bulky to add more bulk. Dropped it many times. Mostly of softer surfaces but a few times on harder ones. One time I dropped it from about 6 ½ ft and the screen slightly popped out of the case/frame. Popped it back in without issue. Added a glass screen protector a few months into initial ownership. Held up remarkably well. No real scratches or dings. The screen had some micro scratching and I broke three glass screen protectors. All replaced under warranty form Zagg. Bent it slightly when I wrecked a motorcycle and the bike landed directly on it pinning me underneath. Ironically it had a case on it that time. I was able to re-bend it back almost to straight. It survived many other motorcycle wrecks prior and after the one that bent it. Gave it to my son when I got the 6s and he was happy to have it and could barely see the dent from the accident. In fact the AT&T guy would've let me trade it back for $293 credit. Didn't care about the dent and slight bend, only that the screen wasn't cracked. That was full trade in for a pristine phone. So all I can say is that I'm incredibly impressed with the 6's durability and the 6s only feels beefier. Did the glass screen protector from the moment the factory screen protector came off and AppleCare this time. Neglected to get it for my 6 last year. I subscribe to the "get AppleCare in lieu of an expensive case and go naked" method.

No apple care+. I have my Wells Fargo credit card that covers my phone since I use that to pay my monthly AT&T bill. No screen protector. Using a spigen clear air case. Covers phone well. Great looks to show my gold iPhone. And it's barely noticeable. Same setup I had on the 6.

Went naked on my 6 plus, and don't see any reason why I would stop. Actually with the Apple watch I don't need to remove my phone as much and when I do it's not in any precarious situations.

Apple watch = no need for iPhone case:)

Naked here with a splash of saddle brown on my 6s+ because it looks so damn nice

I got AC+ for the first time and I'm tired of cases and screen protectors and compromising the beautiful glass edges and smooth experience of no screen protector just to keep resale value up for the next guy. Screw him :)

Also it's weird but the saddle brown leather case is more slippery than the naked new aluminum which is much more grippy than last version.

Naked or nothing. All these ugly bulky spigen and other weird cases are so sad to see sometimes on such a nice device but to each experience to their own.

I hate using cases and screen protectors. when u add a case, it takes away from the elegant feel of the phone. But with iPhones protruding lens, i sometimes find myself wanting a case for it
