Just migrated successfully from my 7+ to new X.

When I unpaired my watch from the 7+ I was asked if I wanted to remove the data plan, and said ‘no’. Paired to my new phone and the data plan was in place immediately.

Got two Apple watches Series 3 LTE working on EE. They did not automatically connnect to EE’s data plan when going through myWatch setup process. Called EE, 10 mins on the call and they enabled something in background. Both are working now, fantastic!

Wonderful devices, both S3 and iPhone X. Upgraded after nearly 3 years with S0 and 6 plus.

Picking up my series 3 tomorrow from John Lewis. On reading much of this thread might wait before transferring to EE. Currently with 3 on a good deal. Thinking of pay as you go to try out but not sure if will work with watch.

Only sim only and pay monthly contracts will work with the series 3

I think things have improved significantly since the initial launch. I wouldn’t (personally) avoid moving to EE just because there have been some ‘teething problems’.

EE is a bloody disaster. I have spent so many hours on this today. And got nowhere.

It all went really smoothly for me. I waited until my number had ported across to EE before activating cellular on my watch but once I did it worked straight away.

And EE has a big advantage over Three in supporting visual voicemail. It’s so good to have that back!
