The EE forums are mentioning that the 'activation server' has apparently been down since 1PM today.Mine been saying "Activating" for more than two hours now. How long before it moves from "Activating" or before it displays an error?

I set mine up earlier today, all seems to be ok but not had chance to test if it's working or not yet! Does anyone know if you have to swap your AW for a new one do you have to activate the EE plan all over again?
I find that it can be anything from 3 or 4 seconds to 30 seconds. It appears to be a little quicker with 4.1b1.How long does it take to switch to LTE when watch loses phone or wifi connections?
It's purely for the watch.Since we get 6 months free with unlimited data and then £5 a month for 10gb, will that data be added to the phone contract or just purely for th watch?
It's not an add-on - it's a separate line with its own plan. Tap the hamburger button, then it should say "Currently Viewing" for your phone plan. Tap on that and you should be able to select the watch's plan.Interestingly, my watch add-on doesn’t appear against my account in the EE app. Can other people see it there?

Swipe up to show the Control Centre and it shows the dots at the top left if your watch is using LTE rather than BT or WiFi. You can also use the Explorer watch face to display the dots.My number ported across to EE today so I set up cellular on my watch. Thankfully it was all very quick and easy.
Where do I see the dots showing signal strength though? (Pretty sure this is me being dim, sorry!)
Yep, this is exactly the same issue that I'm having. I updated my watch to 4.1 beta last night to see if it made any difference, but it hasn't.
My friend bought their watch last week and it connected fine and made a few test calls, we both went out today and mine conncected to EE within a few minutes but his didnt anymore. Tried rebooting the watch and it wont connect, toggling airplane mode forces it to connect then it slowly drops signal untill it disconnects. Was in the middle of a park with no wifi spots about so it couldnt be the captive portal issue
To send and receive SMS or MMS, your paired iPhone must be powered on and connected to Wi-Fi or cellular, but it doesn't need to be nearby.
