Ever since I switched, I noticed I'm missing letters when typing and misspelling words. Think it's because of the larger screen.

Not really an issue, more like I need to get used to it...

Anyone else?

The width of the screen is the same. The size difference should have no impact on your typing skills on the screen. The letters are in the same exact place.

Yes. But only on apps that haven't been updated for the 4" screen. I keep hitting below the correct key, often missing the space bar entirely. I would've preferred non-iPhone 5 apps to open at the bottom of the screen and have one black bar at the top when used in portrait - this would make my muscle memory use it just like any previous iPhone. At least a choice of where to position the screen would've been nice.

^^This

VERY annoying!

Try voice input

Hit the microphone button. Voice input is VERY good, probably well over 95% accurate. I do very little typing now.

i don't know if ios 6 changed the keyboard for the US version but the german keyboard got 3 new keys which changed the whole layout of the keyboard and made the buttons smaller. everything moved a little to the left and some keys are at a slightly different position. i'm always hitting the wrong keys... this kinda annoys me but i guess i'll get used to it

the upper is with ios 6

My typing isn't as good as on my iPhone 4. I really think it has to do with iOS learning my typing habits again. After all, it had over two years to learn with the older model and I've had the iPhone 5 for less than a week. Time will tell.

Funny this was mentioned. I was noticing this yesterday when I was trying to type a text or post on a website. I kept thinking, I never had this much trouble before. Interesting......

It feels as if I am almost gliding over the keys and not really pushing them. I have to take my time and really make sure I am pushing the key :(

definitely am making a lot of mistakes.

I like this. Thought it was me at first. For some reason I would start a text and the first letter wouldn't show. It was as if it was still loading the text app.

You can change that, or even add an additional keyboard layout for German. I use the original keyboard layout for German and the width is the same.
