Swoopo is a very well designed online scam

Having opened two different products up for auction (on 131110) and seen the same bidder names and bid amounts appearing on both auction items, leads me to believe those swoopo guys have created a relatively sophisticated money fleecing operation. Tel your friends (before they get bled by the Swoopia (as in racketeering gangster types)!

Swoopo is a scam

another vote for Swoopo being a scam.

I signed up and used up my free bids and never came back.

There are always the same people bidding on items and winning them. This leads me to believe that they are pros who bid a lot and end up buying a MBP for $1800 total instead of market price. They then sell it through EBay for a small profit. No way to ever outbid those people so you lose always.

Or they are simply working for Swoopo bidding on their own items. I heavily suspect this is going on as well.

They also have a automated bidding system that reduces your chances to be lucky to zero.

There are at least 5 similar sites out there with slight variations of the bidding system. In the end they are all the same scam.

This system lives of the large numbers of new members (read idiots) who try it for $20 or $50 or $100 and then give up. And do you really want to be one of the idiots?

How does such a scam that earns thousands of % per auction go bankrupt?

Maybe
- Shill marketing got expensive
- They bid on their own auctions, so they didn't get as much money as they claimed

they filed for bankruptcy... good riddance.

Good news.

Good news.

Maybe, contrary to what Einstein believed, human stupidity is not infinite? And people stopped "bidding"?
