That speed test was Sprint...don't you know what cellular means? Smh

Wow. Do you happen to notice the wifi symbol? That means you are using wifi when you took the screen shot. If it was 3G or LTE then it would say 3G or LTE. Sheesh. Clueless.

LOL, he doesn't even know that speedtest was his wifi connection not Sprint. He needs to return phone.

LOL screenshot was taken at 4:01 PM when he was on wifi and the test was done at 12:41 p.m. when he was on cellular

Network: Cellular

herp derp looks like you don't even know

LOL way to make yourself look even stupider. Look at the time stamps

You got me there. My apology.

Not a single problem so far. Forgot to mention I'm only pay $103 a month with my wife's work discount for 2 iPhones. My bill on VZW after taxes was $178 a month.
While your bill may have decreased, everything else that came with you decreased too.

You gained:
1. Decreased network quality
2. Decreased coverage
3. Decreased call quality
4. Decreased customer service support.

But hey, at least your bill is a few bucks less!

And you know this how? Service depends on area. And last I checked, Sprint was #1 in Customer Service, so stop being a jack ass.

Funny how many arrogant MacRumor know-it-alls are claiming this speed test was taken over WiFi. Many lulz.

Winning! (There are also a lot of arrogant AT&T/Verizon users who fail at basic math)

We should be getting LTE THIS month, next month at the latest, in LA.

Sprint has made a lot of promises, I decided not to go with promises rather something I can actually use now. The savings of unlimited data were not attractive enough for me using their awful 3G.

When you have a subpar network, you will do anything to keep customers "happy" :)

Me and my family have been with AT&T since at least '97. They have never made me want to jump ship. I upgraded to a Galaxy S2 last November. Picked up an S3 in June. And then AT&T granted me another early upgrade for the iPhone. No other carrier would do this. I called AT&T this morning about phantom data usage on my iPhone 5 and how I was throttled with my unlimited plan. The nice lady on the phone credited me the $30 data for the month.

If their speeds are decent in your area then it's a great value over Verizon/AT&T. I considered them at one point but a few of my friends have the iPhone 4S with them and get "3G" speeds that are around the same as the Edge speeds on AT&T.

Most people don't have to call customer support every week, so it's not that big of an issue I think. He's already getting good service and I think, most people stay within their city / area so as long as you have good service where you live - that's the primary issue.

Now he has blazing fast speeds and unlimited internet, and is saving $60 per month. What's so bad about that? That's over 1000 bucks in 24 months.

I'm jealous ... even if I could have that rate plan on 3G I'd be happy. I don't use cellular data much but I do use it for emails and stuff, I could live on Sprint 3G for that price.

Don't believe everything you read

I use to have Verizon on my Galaxy S2 and I did not have service inside my house. Now I have an iPhone 5 with Sprint and I can finally use my phone in my room! Not only that, I pay much less monthly and I have unlimited data!!! What's better than that?

And this objective data you got from who, an ATT or Verizon saleskid? Sprint lags slightly in LTE deployment because we had an other version of 4g for a when you you were paying more for VZ and ATT and 1/8th the network speed. In areas where Sprint has or is in the midst of deploying LTE it is slam dunk to get sprint.

How so? WiMax barely achieved speeds that both AT&T HSPA+ and T-Mobile "4G" could do.

Lagging "slightly" in LTE deployment is the understatement of the century. They barely have any of the major cities covered. For example, Boston is supposed to be completed by the end of the next year. VZW and AT&T both launched here as one of their first markets.

Explain this to me: http://www.prnewswire.com/news-rele...nd-verizon-in-selected-markets-172370831.html

Did you read the guy I was quoting? There is objective data to show he was wrong.
And I have aTT with work and HPSA was real word much much slower that wimax. I was doing face to face video calling on sprint wimax two and half years ago. And data was and is unlimited.

I tether as well and and VErizon or ATT would cost me double what sprint costs.

What I said was in the cities where sprint is on stream with LTE, wither already deployed or scheduled to be deployed (mine shows scheduled and I am getting excellent LTE already), Sprint is wins because of coverage and price. If you want to pay more for limited data go with AT or VZ

Averages 6/9 at the Atlanta airport where I work outside. This is after midnight. Same speed down in Newnan.

Was up on kennesaw yesterday. Getting 16/9. At the camp creek sprint store 16/10. Do they have a lte source on the store?

Wimax is not LTE. LTE is the new standard and the report shows Sprint is clearly not ready to deploy LTE devices as their network is inadequate.

what does you statement have to do with my quote? What I wrote was WIMAX was much faster than HPSA+
What I have consistently said on these forums is that people who are not in the 20 or so sprint deployed markets or the second set (where people are already reporting LTE service even though they are not scheduled as finished yet) should either stick with their wimax phone or switch carriers.

The other criticism the guy made, poor call quality, poor custoemr service, is in fact silly since objective third party studies show the opposite

Why do people feel the need to hate so much on Sprint and the OP? Some of you guys are so pathetic  if he's happy with Sprint then leave it alone. He's saving a ton of money and he's happy with his service!

I'm glad the OP is happy with Sprint.

My advice would be, if you're within your return window, return the phone and go to AT&T or Verizon.

Sprint has a long history of making subpar business decisions and not properly maintaining their own network.

While I'm sure Sprint's LTE is decent now, while only a handful of their devices support it, over time when it's the norm, their network will become as saturated and as poor as their 3G service now.

I'm not sure how their customer service is so good, it's been a nightmare for my family during the last year, during their downward spiral.

+ sprints call quality is crystal clear compared to ATT and verizon. i was blown away when i tried sprint out. Especially compared to ATT.

i just rely on data too much, and lte wont be here in austin for another 3-4 months.

WiMax was awesome for its time. I was getting 10Mbps on my EVO 4G when the GSM networks were only getting 2.

I dont think the people posting opposing views are necessarily bashing the OP. Most likely they are unhappy Sprint customers or unhappy former Sprint customers and voicing their warnings about people considering Sprint.
