Considering the fact that the iPhone 8 costs almost 1k for just 64gb storage and the 7s being a 7 with wireless charging I am thinking of keeping my 7 Plus for another year. Compared to my iPhone 6 which had heavy slowdowns after a year of use,it's faring extremely well. Who else's doing the same?

I will keep it for another year, I don't see myself upgrading to a newer device just yet , if my primary use is messaging , media , and internet. Paying 1,000 to do the same thing but in a different model is just meaningless and waste of funds.

Most likely keeping my 7 32gb but I'm waiting on the reveal of the 64gb iPhone 8 or the Google Pixel 2 XL

Sure, but it has nothing to do with the new phone nor the price. It’s simply that my 7 is still a great phone I have no reason to replace it or pay for another one.
Same here. My 7 works perfectly awesome and certinly will for at least another year and perhaps beyond. I have not even remotely gotten my moneys worth out of it yet.

Yeah, keep my 128 Gb model for another year. Although I was disappointed last year due to the lack of a chassis redesign, the phone has been great.

I'm going to give it another year at least.

It’s looking that way for me. I’m not entirely sure. Depends on what functionalities and improvements the new iPhone has, what the price is, and how difficult it is to even find one. It’s going to really need to be amazing for me to spend over $1000 on it. Can’t just be “look we’re adding what other phones have had for years.”

I really enjoy my iPhone 7 and it's been a great iPhone, which could easily serve me for years to come. But ultimately, I just take the appreciation of upgrading to a new device annually mainly its just preference and tradition over anything else.

I'm finally at the point with pretty much all my gadgets where I don't feel the need to upgrade for a long long time. I don't even use all the power and features of the 7 plus and whatever the hell they add to it in the new one will just be MORE stuff I won't use to their full capability. Why bother at this point? Unless my phone gets ridiculously slow or there's a huge advancement in phone tech, I'm just fine with my 7 plus.

I also feel this with the iPad to a degree. For what I need, what more could I ask for? It's just superfluous at this point.

No, this is the worst phone I've ever had. The camera is objectively blurrier than the 6s in video footage, my phone randomly crashed and I lost all my data and has to go to the Apple Store to get a replacement, and haptic feedback doesn't seem to work on either of the iPhone 7s that I've had (tried changing settings).

This phone needs to go asap

Your phone sounds as bad as my 6s+ last year. it would get BURNING hot after starting up, light web browsing and it was so hot even employees couldn't touch it but they told me nothing was wrong with it for 9 months and would not give me a replacement till I called apple.

I'm keeping my 7+ though

I have the 7plus 128GB phone is working great, like others have stated for what I do on a day to day bases this phone is great. Yes at first was like I need new iPhone but after I had it for a month or so I'll be using it the same way I use my 7 now. Yes it will have new features but not dropping any cash for those. Use money else where for now.

Right now I'm leaning towards keeping my 7. While I can afford the 8, I am not interested in paying over $1,000 for a phone, when I was younger I definitely would have though. As far as the 7s it's possible but I'm not sure it would offer me enough over the 7 to justify the upgrade.

Whether I get an iPhone 8 or not (leaning on not), definitely keeping the 7. It's essentially free after iPhone 6 trade-in plus sales tax if I stick with ATT another year (which I'll be doing anyway). New plans on other carriers are more expensive than my current ATT plan.

I'm keeping mine until it does or I have some other reason for replacing it. The only reason I don't still have my 6+ is because I ran out of storage space on it, but I bought the largest capacity I could this time so I don't see that being an issue anytime soon.

Keeping my 7, it runs incredibly well since last December (knock on wood), and I don’t think another substantial investment is warranted. For me, it seems like a better idea to wait for OLED to expand across the lineup - and for costs to drop.

Lol, I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't like OLED. :p
Troublemaker alert! :p

Are your concerns about the color saturation and greater inconsistencies in quality between panels? That seems to be the general argument that I’ve heard as far as downsides go (maybe viewing angles?).

Color saturation, burn in and use in bright light conditions. I'm assuming we don't have to suffer with PenTile anymore or at least extremely high pixel densities make it a non-issue? Even at 300+ ppi, it just didn't look right to me. Granted, I think the last OLED smartphone I worked with was S4 or S5 so that's several generations behind.
