Anyone lining up at AT&FAIL store tomorrow?

Swung by the store near me around 8:30am. They had already sold out and told me they turned away about 30 or so people. This is not even a big store. They told me they were getting shipments in later today but couldn't say when. They also said there was no waiting list of sorts. I thought I read here that they were taking names and holding them for you for the later shipments, no?
 
Went to an AT&T store in Columbus around 6:30. Already maybe 25-30 people in line, at least 10 (including me) were turned away, but offered pre-orders that should come in between July 8th and July 14th.

I may try the Apple Store a few more times, or even camp out Saturday, but I need to get a new phone by July 3rd if I am going to return my EVO. Really don't want to go back to my iPhone 2G for a few weeks.

Edit: If this Saturday fails, I may just reactivate my 2G and see if anywhere will let me actually preorder a white one. I'd prefer one, but I'd sort of rather die than go through another debacle like the black iPhone ordering process.

I went to ATT store 6am at Kent,OH. There were about 20 people in the line. I got my iphone 4g 32g before 7:45. The whole process was painless. I just went to Apple website and canceled my pre-order for 7/14. Everything works out.
 
No bumpers at ATT. I asked. Girl said, they are not 'authorized' to.

GOT MY iPHONE 4!!!! Waited in line since 1am MST. about 13-15th in line, then about 20-30 people behind me. They gave out water and muffins, and a few bluetooth heads sets and the most pointless t-shirts ever; ATT t-shirts
 
I didn't line up.

Called a few locations by my office in NYC. Pretty much every retail store in NYC is sold out.
 
I got insanely lucky. On my way to work at 8:30 I drove past an AT&T store with ~5 people standing outside. Told the boss I forgot something at home and by the time I got there there were only 3 people in front if me. The AT&T girl handling the line said they sold 70 at 7am and gave the rest of the people vouchers. I got there 10 minutes after they got a shipment. I'm posting with it now.

So if you can skip out of work it's worth a shot.

Btw, I've tried killing out the aentenna but haven't been able to drop more than one bar.

My store recieved 60 iPhones, exactly. I arrived at 3 AM with six people in front of me. Three more by 5 AM. Then about 100 people or so arrive from 5-7. I feel bad for them.
 
Walked in an AT&T store at 9:45am got a voucher, walked out, so no line for me. :p I just go back later today and pick it up. I canceled my July 2 Apple order.

Voucher? What voucher? I don't understand why each store has their own stupid rules. And the way they act at the stores you'd think they don't want to sell phones to anyone. Took me a lot of grilling to find out they were having another shipment today. Why so secretive all the time?

All stores near me were giving out "Golden Tickets." They secured your right to the next iPhone shipment that would be arriving later today. All stores were supposed to have these.
 
I showed up at my AT&T store a little after 5:00 this morning. I was like 9th or so in line. By the time the store opened up at 7:00 the line was about 50 or so. But got my iPhone 4.

The AT&T store was not selling the "Official" bumpers, but I bought one at Best Buy online that had some pretty good reviews.

At first glance, everything seemed sharper - but compared side by side to my 3Gs, well - there's no comparison. I now look at the 3Gs and wonder how I ever read any of the text at all!

Any company PR on this? The store I went to pulled a blank face when I mentioned it to them.
 
I wish I was getting one today. Sadly, I'm hard headed and want the white one. My patience will be rewarded.
 
Showed up at local AT&T about 6:45 this morning. Left about 8:15. There were about 50 people in line ahead of me. They ran out 3 people after. Gave vouchers to everyone else. Said they were getting more at noon.

Got 2 32's one for me, one for the wife. They gave me a hard time about wanting 2, said the policy was one per customer. Told them I was buying a family plan which require the purchase of two phones. If they couldn't give me two phone I would take my business to Verizon. I think if we had been upgrading we would have been SOL, but since we were new customers they let me take the two.

So far it is great. This is my first smartphone. Haven't really had any signal issues or dropped calls, but I do notice signal fluctuating, but nothing major.
 
So my local AT&FAIL store only has ordered 16gb models.

i got there around 6:35 and left at 7:55 and made it to work 1 minute late. they only had around 60 and were out of 32gb within the first 10 people in line. luckily i only wanted a 16gb

i had an inside source on what was available so i wasnt rushing to get there. worked out pretty well imo.
 
Drove by the AT&T store near me (north Phoenix - I-17 & 101, if anyone's curious,) hoping to score a 32gb for my wife, but the line was ridiculously large - I'm guessing at least 75, maybe 100 people, which really surprised me. Stopped at Chick-fil-a, grabbed a chicken biscuit, jumped on their wifi, and ordered a 32gb to be delivered in "7-10 business days."
 
Got to my store, in NE Arkansas, about 9:15, walked out by 10 with a new iP4. Still waiting for activation. I am porting my # over from VZW.
