I'm furious too! How dare Apple put out another phone. How dare they make it LTE. How dare they make the screen bigger. How dare they change the dock connector to something more modern. Oooooooh. This makes me furious!

How dare they make it thinner and lighter!!!!!:mad::mad::mad:

I love mine so I could use another :p?

If you loved the 4S, you'll love the 5. It's just everything but little bit better, if you can justify the upgrade you'll get get an all round improvement.

They aren't going to go back to the 3.5" screen. More likely is for them to make it a little wider. Even then, enough people are happy with the new design that it probably will stick. I get that some people are unhappy with it, but if you really dislike it that much, just don't buy the phone.

I'm glad the glass back was ditched. It made the phone way too breakable. I'm glad they made the phone taller and lighter. Makes it easier to read emails, play games, watch movies etc. on the phone. I don't care much for the two-tone in black, but it looks fabulous up close on the white model (i.e. like a MacBook). Oh and the maps app everyone is whining about? I haven't had a single issue with it and have found it to be better than the Google app that was stock on all other versions of iOS. And for those times where I need something better (like ability to really customize routes), I use MapQuest. Not hard to find a solution if you open your eyes and just look.

I own a GS2 myself. The screen on the 5 is leaps and bounds ahead of the GS2 screen. More importantly, it's less breakable than the GS2 screen. I don't see that much more on the GS2 screen as opposed to the 5, so the 4.3 vs. 4 inch display thing isn't a big deal.

About the only thing I'm mad at Apple for is not doing a good enough job with QC. It sounds like you may have gotten a defective iPhone.

Agreed. I also have att gs2 and the screen (amoleds in general) is terrible.

I am very mad and frustrated with them for releasing this phone. It's just way too thin and too light. The 4" screen is awful and looks bad. The colors however, look great. The Wifi issues are really annoying and because I couldn't get Wifi to connect AT&T throttled me.

For some reason, this screen seems far less responsive, especially typing on the keyboard. Some times the screen isn't responsive at all. Keep in mind, I've done many factory resets and reset the network connections.

My data just likes to go away for 5 minutes and sometimes not come back, or come back as EDGE when the 4G tower is in site. The new "lightning" connector is not any faster, so why change it from the 30 pin? Who cares if it was 8 year old technology. It felt much more secured in place and I liked that.

I will be going back to the 4S. I'm not happy about that, as I pre-ordered the iPhone 5 and was looking so forward to it. I'm mad at Apple for releasing this phone because I really wanted LTE. LTE is amazing, when it works.

The 4S should have had LTE, PERIOD. This does not feel like an Apple product at all. The two tones back is ugly, and damn all you people for dropping your 4, because that's why Apple ditched the glass back. The glass back was awesome. It also looked a lot better. The 4" screen is the biggest disappointment. A 4.3" would have been ideal. Like the Galaxy S II, that was perfect. I have average hands and it felt just right.

Ok, rant over. Keep in mind this is completely my opinion and subjective to me. Just wondering if anyone else feels the same way?

You probably get mad when the wind blows the wrong direction. Get mad about something useful.

Why would i be mad at a company for releasing a product? if i don't like what they release i'll simply return it and find something else. Its not rocket science.

Some folks really need to re-assess their priorities in life.

-You shouldn't have pre-ordered it in the first place. You should of checked out the demo or something.

You crazy!

Sure there are bugs but what you listed is a bit over the top. Good choice though going back to the 4S. Sounds like you enjoyed almost nothing on the new phone.

"The 4" screen is awful and looks bad". How on earth do you work that out? It's brilliant, better saturation, brighter and if you compare the 5 to the 4S, the screen on the 5 is much better. I know (as you said) it's your opinion but in my opinion you're wrong. Why did you buy it for?

I don't like it either (and i didn't buy it;)) For me it looks disproportional - lanky iphone, nah. I doubt this design will stick.
Eactly my thoughts. iPhone 5 is good, but I don't think it's the form factor for upcoming years. It's probably one time deal for Apple.

There is no doubt that there are major quality control issues so don't try to deny it . People shouldn't spend $800 on a phone that arrives scratched out of the box. I am just glad that my 3rd phone was a keeper.

I disagree. Screens great. Two tones great. Metals great. No problems here. All love.

the only two things i'm mad at them for is: (1) not realeasing it a few months ago when i originally became eligible for a fully subsidized upgrade and (2) not announcing the ipad mini at the keynote address in sept!

i LOVE my iphone 5!

I am just glad that my 3rd phone was a keeper and you can't deny the fact that Apple has 8 year olds working at Foxcon so I am not sure why that comment upsets so many of you cause it is what it is

My iPhone 5 is perfect. Sorry about the issues.

I've had some of these problems; downloading apps over WiFi is hit-or-miss and when texting the clicks are not in-sync with me pressing the letters. Am I mad? No. I got plenty else to be angry over.

Went over my ATT white 64 with a 20X loupe- not a mark on it. But it appears very fragile, those sharp edges were a bad decision- they will certainly ding with the slightest impact or contact with hard objects. Glad I have it in a case (0.7 mm polycarbonate, picked up in Japan).

Function is perfect. Screen is gorgeous. Low mass is disconcerting at first, but balance is great. So much faster than the 4 it replaces.

I think it would look like hell after 2 weeks naked, which isn't the case for the 4 series.

Bla bla bla

I love it how when someone posts THEIR ACTUAL EXPERIENCE and their opinion about a device, some fanboy pipes up point for point on how there is no way the OP could be having those problems or that they are doing something wrong to cause the problems.

To the OP...keep posting. You are entitled to your opinion even if it's not favorable for the iPhone5. It's garbage and even the fanboys know it. But they will try to keep you quiet or belittle you into not posting.
