I love it how when someone posts THEIR ACTUAL EXPERIENCE and their opinion about a device, some fanboy pipes up point for point on how there is no way the OP could be having those problems or that they are doing something wrong to cause the problems.

To the OP...keep posting. You are entitled to your opinion even if it's not favorable for the iPhone5. It's garbage and even the fanboys know it. But they will try to keep you quiet or belittle you into not posting.

1.) Do not put words in my mouth.
2.) Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but that doesn't make it true. You are posting on a forum, so expect others to agree and disagree.
3.) The majority of the OP's complaints are related to the carrier, not Apple.

No! My complaints are directed towards Apple. Read again. I'm mad they bring out this lousy phone with a longer 4" screen.

Oh in case anyone is wondering I did set up a refund and got myself a 4S. So yeah no one can reply "return it". Already done.

If you're that unhappy with it, the cell companies in the U.S. will let you return an undamaged phone for a full refund within 14 days no questions asked. I'd recommend that you exercise your right to do that given your sentiments.

I'm very happy with AT&T. I used a lot of data I pay the price period. I just don't like That Apple released this Phone. If any other company in the world released a phone like this they'd be laughed at out of the business.

My iphone 5 will be shipping back to Appe Monday morning

They could stop being stubborn and arrogant for one.

If being stubborn and arrogant gives me $100 billion in my bank account...

Also, The CEO PUBLICLY apologized for not living up to it's customers expectations in terms of Maps...how is that either stubborn or arrogant?

Thinner, lighter, faster, bigger (while retaining the aforementioned features).

I mean what part of all this are you missing? It's an upgrade in every way to the 4S. There is no argument there, sorry.

Truth be told, I loved my 4S, but I could NEVER go back to the smaller screen now, especially for video. 16:9 is the best thing to ever happen to the iPhone since Siri. I played with a 4S today and it feels like a legitimate step backward.

I also admit Maps was a huge flop and is totally unacceptable - just like pulling YouTube from iPad, but that is more iOS 6 than iPhone 5 I guess, even though the 5 forces you to accept these changes.

My beef wasn't with maps. I actually kinda liked it. But I don't know, I just loved the glass look the iPhone 4S had. It was so beautiful. The 4S also felt very solid.

I just hate the display, I hate it, its that bad for me. I just want to know if anyone else is extremely disappointed by it after using it for a week?

The black and slate looks awful. Just upset Apple couldn't think outside the box on this one.

Nobody can make everyone happy.
There's always going to be some that like and dislike some things.
But if 6-8 million people in under one week bought it and its still sold out at most places then obviously they did something right.
Maybe its not for you, phones are not one size fits all.
Good thing we have plenty of options available so get whatever works for you and makes you happy.

I think the OP is right. If it wasn't for the stupid chamfer, there would be a lot less complaints about the build. It's style at the expense of function. And the tall form looks like a hi fi remote. Very disappointed.

With 5 million sold, the chances of SOMEONE besides yourself being "extremely disappointed" are 100% so the answer to your question would be "yes"

I'll venture to guess, however, that the majority of new owners are satisfied.

I've had no issues other than getting more than 5 hours usage time out of the battery. I want to be upset about maps but... I don't really use it that much anyway. I would have liked a wider screen but its a phone so I can understand how they want it all to be used by one hand if possible. My phone has a good weight to it. The slimness and weight make it very comfortable in my pocket. Plus the case prevents me from even noticing the metal backing. It could be green for all I know I don't see it anymore. I am glad you have found a phone that you like though.

Products change and evolve. Sometimes you may not like the next iteration. That's just the way it goes.

Never be so loyal to a company that you guy their products even if you don't like them. (I know with the iOS ecosystem it can be hard to make a break but honestly... don't buy it if you don't like it.)

I've often owned cars that I really liked.. when it was time to buy a new car I did not like that company's new models. What did I do? I bought a different brand.

Change is a strange thing. Companies must change their products to stay competitive and modern but some loyal customers will not like the change. It's just the way it goes.

Buy what you like, regardless of the logo on the product.

GL! :)

I am very mad and frustrated with them for releasing this phone. It's just way too thin and too light. The 4" screen is awful and looks bad. The colors however, look great. The Wifi issues are really annoying and because I couldn't get Wifi to connect AT&T throttled me.

For some reason, this screen seems far less responsive, especially typing on the keyboard. Some times the screen isn't responsive at all. Keep in mind, I've done many factory resets and reset the network connections.

My data just likes to go away for 5 minutes and sometimes not come back, or come back as EDGE when the 4G tower is in site. The new "lightning" connector is not any faster, so why change it from the 30 pin? Who cares if it was 8 year old technology. It felt much more secured in place and I liked that.

I will be going back to the 4S. I'm not happy about that, as I pre-ordered the iPhone 5 and was looking so forward to it. I'm mad at Apple for releasing this phone because I really wanted LTE. LTE is amazing, when it works.

The 4S should have had LTE, PERIOD. This does not feel like an Apple product at all. The two tones back is ugly, and damn all you people for dropping your 4, because that's why Apple ditched the glass back. The glass back was awesome. It also looked a lot better. The 4" screen is the biggest disappointment. A 4.3" would have been ideal. Like the Galaxy S II, that was perfect. I have average hands and it felt just right.

Ok, rant over. Keep in mind this is completely my opinion and subjective to me. Just wondering if anyone else feels the same way?
