Anyone miss the rounded back?

here's how i look at it: the 3G/3GS case design, because of the rounded back, was more feminine/girly. this new i4 case is a lot more masculine with the steel band and flat back. it looks more professional. so for those who find themselves missing the rounded back, just think of it like that. would you rather have a girly 3GS or a professional manly i4?

Hmm. I don't feel that way at all. I feel just the opposite actually. The slimness is more of a feminine thing.

Yes, I miss the curvy iPhone. I have the bumper and only wish they had one with a closed and curvy back to feel more comfy in my hand.

I do like the ability to use it easily for typing while it's flat on my desk. Not rocking around is good!

Not in the slightest, and I don't miss that cheap chrome bezel either.

The iPhone 4's build quality is superb. The plastic back of the 3G/3GS was a scratch magnet, and while you could put an Invisible Shield on it, the curves made the corners a complete swine to apply (and keep on).

I've always used screen protectors on my iPhone, and now the back is essentially the same as the front, I can (and have) apply a screen protector to the front and the same kind of protector (albeit cut differently to accommodate the camera and LED flash) on the back.

When applied properly, with no bubbles, you don't even notice they are on and the stainless steel band stands up to every day use far better than the chrome bezel that was nothing more than a scratch magnet.

Good riddance to the old design I say.

I actually like the "brick" feel. Flat back to me is better. When put in a CandyShell it is like a mini brick but I honestly like the feel.

I always liked the original iPhone over the 3G/3GS design.
The iPhone 4 feels more like the original iPhone so no I don't miss the curve.

Btw I still own all three of the form factors and have compared them in several ways.

Yeah, the rounded back made it easier to pick up from a flat surface. But the flat back makes it easier to type/browse when laying on a flat surface as well. There's pros/cons for both but overall, happy with the new design.

I picked up a feather case for mine and no more reception issues either.

I miss the 3GS as it was easier to hold, but with this new design I haven't noticed a scratch on the back of mine yet (naked since before day 1).

For sure, but we're talking about phones. It Reminds me of a thin maxi pad or something. Lol.

I haven't given away my 3GS yet, so I was holding them side by side the other day. The 3GS looks fat and big compared to the 4. I personally like the slim 4. It's easier to handle and doesn't slip as easily as my 3GS. IMO

I love the new design so much better than the old one! The old design looks so cheap and outdated now. Its amazing how the updated look of the 4 makes the 3g and 3gs look like a childs toy. The ip4 just feels so nice in your hand and its in a small compact design with more weight so it just feels so solid! And its manly looking

Shes a douche though when it comes to phones.

Doesn't like the iP4 because it doesn't feel like my old 3G + 3GS.

I have found myself missing the curved back a couple of times. Seems to happen most the time when I bring it out of pocket, my hands can't tell which way around it is, so I end up trying to unlock the back of the phone.
