how original. And having spent lots of time in Canada, I can tell you that Canadians aren't far behind.

Check the above stats, Canada isn't in the Top 7 obese countries and has at least 9.7% fewer obese people than the US.

Personally I eat at fast food places in town, during college and university years I would eat healthy, whole wheat bread sandwhiches with a smoothie as a drink. Now I have MacDonalds and I'm still underweight. Just today for tea I had chips and lemon chicken in breadcrumbs, not exactly mega healthy.

It's probably less about diet and more about exercise. And we're (UK) heading into a timebomb. Year on year the roads around here are getting more clogged during the school opening and closing times. They're all local! The catchment area is barely a mile radius. Lazy sods.

I have for the past four/five years. I was awarded 100,000 "Brit Points" for that :D Only 900,000 more before I can be a true Brit...but I'm not quite sure I'm ready to stop brushing my teeth yet.

I wonder when this is going to stop? I'm 22, brush my teeth with plain ol' Colgate-something toothpaste, visit my dentist twice a year who says I have perfect teeth. No fillings. No problems. Ever. And this is the same for my friends and family (barring a couple of 80 year olds with dentures).

Even jokingly some stereotypes are too dated to be relevant.

Canada is #11 with 14% obese.

Canadians and Americans = almost same people except that Canadians are more "French" and use a different dialect of English (Canadian English) from the Americans.
Their accents even sound the same (mostly northern United States and Canada, no Southern accent).

And you're the guy who keeps telling people to stop judging you? :D

Yeah. It's been hard for me to not eat McDonald's every time I've seen that movie. Especially the guy (Don, I think?) Who had eaten like three big macs a day for about three years (at the time). I really want to be like him

Actually he ate it for a full month, not for 3 years. He was already in danger after 20 days or so.

Thank you for capitalizing those words; I wouldn't have been able to read them otherwise. :D

Sorry, I just wanted to emphasize the inconvenience of those actions. I have literally lived on bars for weeks to avoid doing dishes :p.
I promise, I usually do eat real food....

Uh... I would highly suggest you to not say that when you visit Canada... unless you want to try out our wonderful health care system.

Not Morgan Spurlock. I'm talking about the skinny guy he interviewed that ate pretty much nothing but Big Macs for every meal of the day. During the filming of the movie (whatever year that was, too lazy, er, American to look it up), the guy was about to eat his like thousandth or ten thousandth Big Mac or something to that nature...Anyways, his cholesterol was really good, he was skinny, he exercised regularly, and all those others numbers/things that signify a person is of health.

Found him: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Gorske

Over 23,000 Big Macs.

No offense taken.. :) But do you floss regularly?

I am just saying what I think.
Besides I have nothing against Americans and Canadians.

Yes, but by saying what you think you are making yourself look like a habitual stereotyper. You might want to learn some self-monitoring. Or you might want to think more before you speak. I'd also suggest learning that stereotyping isn't necessarily a good thing and that many stereotypes are incorrect. Also, American's aren't all obese, 30.6% is only like 100 million out of 300 million, thus it isn't a particularly accurate stereotype.

I have had a meal at every one of those listed except Dutchess.

But as soon as I was educated about healthy choices and decided to lead a healthy lifestyle the patronage ceased. I haven't been to a McDonald's, Carl's Jr, Burger King in 8 years. I went to Taco last month and before that it had been two years (much ado with inebriation)!

In every single thread, please. The rest of the quote is more important, though.

You're too into keeping as far away from American English as possible, and are indirectly insulting a country's language in the process.

I've eaten at too many fast food places to remember, but I've never eaten at a few places, such as Taco Bell.

For me, responses I ALWAYS get from friends is WHAT I order or don't order. I like my burgers, pizza, etc simple. For my hamburgers, I very much dislike cheese of any kind, and I also don't like mustard, mayo, lettuce or tomato. I prefer the burgers to have the burger, bun and ketchup and that's all, I love it that way. Every time I order with friends, they always question it.. it gets annoying. Plus the taste of mustard or relish makes me puke each time. Somehow my orders go wrong almost each time anyways. but I always prepare to have a million napkins on hand just in case if it does happen.

For pizza, I like cheese pizza, no pepperoni or anything like that, I just like the simplicity of it. Pepperoni tastes gross for me for some reason.

I've never eaten at most of these places mentioned by the OP. Haven't been to any of them in years. Living in London, there's just so much nicer places to go to.

I like decent chips, not french fries, and often grab a falafel and hummus or salad at any of the turkish or lebanense kebab bars that throng our streets. Manchester has far better chips than London. Loved veg curry on chips while I was up there last week.

Must say, Burger King does a lovely thick and filling beanburger (I'm veggy, but not keen on vegburgers, too insubstantial) it's just that they charge an arm and a leg for it. About £3 or £4 last time I looked. For that money I'd rather have a falafel kebab.

I'm Canadian... so we don't have a couple of those (Duchess ?). I've eaten at McD's, KFC, Wendy's... blah, blah. One Fast Food joint I've never eaten at is Burger King. Before I was born my mom got a mould covered burger (like the meat... not the bun) so my parents never took me. I'm also not a fan of Taco Bell.

What you non-Canadians need is Harvey's... "Harvey's makes your Hamburger, a beautiful thing!"

It is because of the forum design/feel. I somehow think the Forum makes me talk like this.
If we talked in real life, it would not be this way.

Yes, but by saying what you think you are making yourself look like a habitual stereotyper.

I am not that kind of a person, you just have to understand me. These forums can me say stuff that I would never say in real life.
Now, can you guys leave me alone and I will leave you alone?

Mon dieu.. MOST OF CANADA needs a Harvey's! There's only one in all of Manitoba, and that's at the airport, their burgers are so delicious, you know you're biting into a real hunk of beef with each bite.

Their fries are mediocre at best, better than McDonalds but worse than NY Fries

Then my mum told me the time she had a KFC in New York that had some chickens arse in it. Yea. I definitely won't be going there now :D
I can't help jumping in, chicken arse is actually a delicacy in some countries. :D It taste just the same though.

That makes me sad for the poor Manitoban's! You have no idea how excited I was when I found out my college had a Harvey's on-campus! Haha!

And yes... I like to pretend they don't sell fries, they used to be good, but in the last couple years I've had the onion rings exclusively.
