Anyone NOT watching the Olympics?

I saw a couple of seconds of the opening ceremony, apart from that haven't really been too interested. I probably should watch some of it.
 
only curling and hockey for me. the rest is worthless.

Are you kidding me?? Seth Wescott getting chased down a mountain by wookies is more exciting to me than watching a Budweiser commerical with a naked animal jumping around---THIS WAS NOT FUNNY!! And the other countless commericals with BEAUTIFUL MOUNTAIN scenery is better any day of the week for me than mindless superbowl boring football commericals. GIve me a break. :)

Bashing Olympics thread = Nonsense to gain attention from a thread that I have enjoyed more than any other on MR. Winter Olympics = Awesome EXICTING and AMAZING athletes doing great things with their lives which is more than I can say for my own self these days...but that will soon change. Out of all the weeks over the past few months on tv, there has not been one that has been this fun for me to watch EVERY SINGLE DAY. So give me another break.

I don't see any bashing of anything here, aside, possibly, from your bashing of this thread. That and one comment that a poster enjoyed only two of the sports.

Not entirely true. Several folks are apparently bashing TV in general.

Oh, and it seems that Glenn Wolsey is bashing iGary. I'm not sure that's been officially listed as a Bad Thing™ though.

I'm bashing iGary? I told him I was beating him for a "non watching TV period". How is that bashing? ;)

Well, I read "beating" too, but I assumed that the comment you hadn't watched TV for three weeks was unrelated to the comment that you were beating him, and I too was uncertain as to whether he (iGary) was objecting to the beatings.

I'm beating you is related to the 3 weeks with no TV. I were saying I was ahead on who hadn't watched the TV for the longest. Beating him on not watching TV for the longest period.

We clear now :)

Apparently the beatings aren't too severe if you can sleep through them. I doubt vniow is getting her money's worth.
 
I haven't been watching any of the Olympics yet. Was only planning to watch the women's figure skating which (I believe) starts on Tuesday.

Erm, hence the two threads - one in which to discuss watching the olympics and one in which to discuss not watching the olympics? :rolleyes:


Then again, I have posted in both, which has got to say bad things about my dual personality. :eek: :p

I usually watch the Summer Olympics much more than the Winter Olympics. I haven't watched any of the Winter Olympics so far except for about 12 seconds of cross-country skiing. :eek:
