I love my 128GB Gold iPad Pro. And I am loving it more and more everyday I use it!
There is one thing I loath about it though: the availability of the friggin pencil in the stores!

I used Doodle Buddy. It's a free app, very basic. Since I cannot actually draw, I just wanted something for doodling. It would probably be suitable for young kids. I like it. I'm sure any real artist would consider it worthless, but for doodling and finger painting I like it.

Well if one can use their finger to draw, what about something else instead?

I couldn't even draw what you did earlier, yep I'm that bad. :)

Well, today I decided I'm not returning mine. Barring unforeseen problems in the next month and a half, that is. So I stopped in at the store and bought the AppleCare Plus. I normally don't buy extended warranties, but since this includes free phone support for two years and two accidents, I decided to go for it. The more I use the Pro, the more I like it. And I'm starting to shop for a protective sleeve, in case I decide to travel with it.

I just bought the 13" Incase sleeve for the Macbook Air from the Apple store... works. $39

I'm keeping mine for sure! I agree that it is just too big for some purposes, so have an iPad Mini for casual purposes and travel. I love the bigger screen. If I had to travel with it, it would be too much, since I don't need the laptop replacement aspect of it. But the Mini is good enough for me for that purpose.

I never for a second was returning mine, but I did buy AppleCare+, which is the very first time I ever have for an iPad. Just seemed especially worth it this time. $599 just for a screen replacement if I break it? Good grief!

Wow.
So do you have an iPhone, and iPad Mini, an iPad Pro....and a laptop of some kind as well then?

For me it's all just become too much. (and super expensive every few years) An iPhone, iPad & a desktop is my absolute limit

I purchased the IPP, but did return it after a few days. Like the previous poster I think I just realized it is too much. My intent was I would sell my iPad Mini 2 and MacBook Pro 13.3 both of these are going on 3 years old. I also have an iPhone 6s Plus. While I totally could make due with just the iPad Pro and my iPhone. The 3 year old iPad mini and MacBook Pro still have value and will do anything and in some cases more than the iPad Pro. So, I just couldn't justify it. I did check to see what I could get if I sold those items and could probably sell them for enough to pay for the iPad Pro. If I decide to do that then I would buy another iPad Pro.

I think an iPad Pro with an iPhone 6S Plus would be perfect. Oh and I also have and Mac Mini which I use for most of my heavy lifting.

I feel like even though it has some benefits with it's bigger screen size that is also iPad Pro's achilles heel. It's just too big and too heavy for gaming, reading books in bed. And not very portable either, which defeats the purpose of the iPad. I think iPad Air 3 will be very attractive if it supports the Pencil.
What do you think?
I agree. For this reason I returned mine yesterday. I don't regret buying it and playing with it for a bit though.

This is how i feel. I love the iPad Pro but I hate that I cannot get the pencil to enjoy it to the full.

I really hope the iPad Air 3 supports the Pencil. That would be Perfect! Best of both world. Also possible 3D Touch too? Maybe. Quite likely I think. I can't wait.

Yup regret it , as I got my iPad Air 2 for a bargain and never use it now. This is like the iPhone 6 Plus ....

At first it was ackward and way too big, one week in.... Got used to it

My only regret is that I didn't buy one sooner.

I absolutely adore this beast - I already stopped carrying my MacBook and sold the iPad Mini 4

I cannot wait for mine. Arrives in 6 days (or so... still waiting for it to go to 'Preparing for Shipment'). Already have a Pencil, though!

Honestly, the only thing I'm hesitant about now is what I'm going to do with my Air 2 now that I haven't picked it up since getting my iPP. I thought I would still use it as an ereader but honestly if I'm sitting down the iPP is fine for reading in landscape mode, and otherwise my 6S+ is big enough to read comfortably on.

First-world problems to the extreme. ;)

This is one of the main reasons I'm holding off on buying one. I only just bought the iPad Air 2 and I'm not sure what the point of it would be if I got an iPad Pro.

Plus there's zero point getting an iPad Pro if I can't get a Pencil. And Apple have massively screwed up that whole thing.

Single with no kids! I will be lonely when I'm old and gray, but I will die surrounded by a bunch of cool gadgets! My home desktop is a dated but adequate Windows 7 machine from TigerDirect that I hardly ever use, and no laptop. I also own an eInk Kindle, but that is cheap in comparison.

When I first used the iPad Pro, I was slightly taken aback by how big it was. I knew it would be bigger, but seeing photos (even side-by-side shots with smaller iPads) didn't drive home just how much bigger it is. It felt... odd. But after a few days, that went away and it seemed normal.

NOW, when I pick up the iPad Air or Mini... they're just laughable. The same thing happened after I got my 6 Plus last year. Jarringly large for a few days, then normal. Then you wonder how you ever got by with the miniscule displays you had before.

I totally agree. My friends iPhones look like a toy compared to my 6 plus

Being a big fan of the iPad Air 2, I wasn't sure about the IPP. As soon as I got over the shock of its size, it really grew on me quickly. The iPP feels much more *useful* for me than the Air 2, and I realized I was basically just using the Air as a bigger iPhone. For personal computing, the iPhone/iPP combo is basically all I need.

Work is different however. Tablets aren't supported on our network and there are Mac/Win-only apps I need to use. I can't imagine bringing the iPP with me on work trips in addition to my work MBP (it would be basically carrying two laptops around). I may need to keep my Air2 as a companion device to the work laptop, which is unfortunate.

I bought a case from Amazon. It's called Luvvitt clear grip flexible soft touch rubber back cover. I paid $15. It looks beautiful on the pro. I'm pretty sure they have other colors besides clear

No. I've been waiting for it. I wasn't exactly blown away by the screen quality, but it's not bad by any means.

I have zero regrets, but that's only because I didn't get it for gaming or reading books in bed (although I do both things, however, I was aware it would be a bit awkward). I still didn't get my hands on a Pencil, but the size will be great for illustration. Really happy with it.

If you got it solely to be a consumption device, however, an iPad Air 2 would probably be better.

Question is will 3D Touch on the air get it before the pro? Do apple value the air higher than the pro?
