Yeah I'm thinking of taking back my 128 GB Black LTE and exchanging for a 128 GB Gold WIFI. The lack of gold, I find rather disturbing now that I actually think about it... and there is no black pencil! What is more, my black came with a deformed plastic LTE antenna cover. I mainly bought it to get the GPS antenna but honestly, when the heck am I gonna take this hulking beast on a hike? I already have a 6S Plus.

No way I would return mine. Replaced my Air 3 and could not be more happy.

Replaced your Air 3 eh? Did you get a demotion at work? No longer able to handle the prototypes?

The iPad Air 2 is used now in the field for work in my company. The iPad Pro is my go to device for cruising the Internet for recreation. Sorry about the 3 should have been 2

Sounds like Gold is your color but not mine.

No demotion here as I am the boss.:p

The boss eh? In Jacksonville, Alaska? Where ... is that? ... ? How many bosses live there? Just curious.

"It's too heavy! Wahhhhhhh!" Guess what? It's bigger, so it's going to weigh more. You knew that when you bought it. If your wimpy nerd arms can't stand to hold a few extra ounces, you've got more issues to concern yourself with.

Also, relative to the size, the Pro is actually lighter than the Air 2 on a inch/gram basis.

Obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion, but it seems like some people on here are constantly looking for reasons to complain.
even with the smart keyboard and silicone case it isn't that heavy but if you used it without either then it is very light just not easy to hold for long periods in certain positions but it is still light enough

I ended up returning my iPad Pro 128GB and getting an iPad Air 2 instead (it was the last day I could return). The Pro was really an amazing device but I just couldn't justify paying 800 pounds on a tablet I am using mainly for media consumption and that still doesnt have all the apps optimized for it. I got a 128gb Air 2 instead with a Smart Cover brand new and oh my god, this is so freaking light! After 2 years I will be definitely upgrading my Air 2 to a Pro 3, which I believe will be cheaper and lighter.

I will definitely love it when the Pro gets lighter, but in the meanwhile, the bigger screen is worth it for me to pay the $$ and put up with the extra weight. Oh, and I doubt it'll get much cheaper.

Basically, all I need is basic word processing, so the iOS apps are plenty good enough for me to use the iPP as a laptop replacement. Mind you. I'm still keeping my iMac. But I doubt I'll ever buy another laptop.

Sold my retina Macbook and keeping the iPad Pro. Bought a Razer Stealth and if that works out, going to sell my 15-inch MacBook Pro too and pull my Mac Mini 2011 out of the closet to work on photos with Aperture (yeah I still haven't switched to Lightroom).

Yeah, I had the rMB... Then when the iPad Pro came out. Decided to get that... And I sold my rMB.

I had a 2012 Mac Mini w/ dual screen set up with it.. But recently I decided to upgrade it to new 5k iMac. So, my set up is pretty much complete.

The gorgeous display of the 5k iMac to go along with the amazing display of the iPP.

I have a similar setup. I use a Mac/Win desktop and an iPad Pro. I now have zero need for a laptop.

I really wanted to like the device but I'm finding that I just revert back to my iPad Air for the most part. I'm using the PRO now, and enjoying the bigger screen as I browse, but it's just not as practical. It's cumbersome in so many ways and once you realise that you lose out on the more convenient aspects of having a smaller device, your decision is pretty much made to return it.

I will more than likely return in a few days and wait for the next revision of the iPad Air.

This device certainly suits artists, but casual users I believe should avoid it.
Well said.

I'll be the first to admit that I let the Apple hype peak my curiosity and influence my purchase decision. Now that I've had it for several weeks the newness has worn off and I end up grabbing my iPad Air whenever I want to use a tablet. Even with the pencil and keyboard I've learned that it's just too cumbersome.

Having big hands I thought it was right for me prior to purchase, but alas I have realized that's it's completely irrelevant within my daily usage patterns.

I hate to even let others persuade my choices but in a business aspect of my career I am thinking of returning the white setup I have for a complete black set up as it isn't as "flashy". I have gotten no less than 10 comments about it being a toy and the white color so I wonder if Apple would let me return my complete set up (silver32gb, white smart cover, white silicon case) for a complete black/gray set up.

Anyone know? Very annoying but I like my job and maybe it is more professional.

If you are within your 14-day return period, sure. Just return everything, and repurchase them in black.

Or, you know, maybe just a black cover and case could be enough to stop the comments, if you prefer the white bezel.

sadly, mine is going back. too many bugs, the drawing experience has been horrible. im going to try a replacement, but if its not improved ill be jumping ship to a windows tablet with a wacom stylus.

Ive never returned anything to apple and I know some stores are notorious for restocking fees and especially with high dollar devices like the pro wasn't sure if it was going to be a process and problem.

I will go with all black to just make it easier. it is very childish and mundane but it is also part of the politics of the business world sometimes.

Some stores? When and where did you hear that? There is a uniform return policy that applies to all Apple Stores. We've bought and returned a lot of things at Apple Stores the last few years, including high-end models of MacBook Pro and iMac, and never had a problem, as long as it was within the return period.

And it's too bad your work environment is like that. Personally, I've always preferred the black bezel, but my mom has the silver iPad Pro, and it looks very classy, imo. I mean, so many laptops are silver, too.

Some stores meaning the likes of Best Buy and other large electronic stores. Not some Apple stores. Sorry for not being specific.

You guys make me laugh. I love the complaints about the weight. It weighs NOTHING. The pencil makes this a tool unmatched by anything else. ANYTHING ELSE.

I think I'll sell my mini. Too small for me now. The Air2 is as small as I want to use. I'm hoping for a mini 5 that accepts the pen.

D

Do you know if it has to be the same Apple Store I bought it from or can it be any?

Only just found this thread and not read through it yet but my main concern/dislike with the pro is the weight, or, to be more precise, the weight with it in a case. I mainly use it with the Apple keyboard but have also got the Logitech Create. Both have their own pro's and con's. The size of the pro is definitely an advantage when being used but when taking out and about is a little too big. I usually carry a mini when traveling or in the office but am beginning to think that the Air might be the best of both worlds. Anyway, just my thoughts.....

i swapped mine for my dad's ipad air

much easier to use , pro is just ridiculously large and unwieldy imo and in the create case simply awful , heavier than a laptop !

in hindsight i should've bought a macbook air

Trying to sell mine but the resale and demand is awful.
I'm offering more than 30% discount on an as new pro and no one wants it, garbage.
