My Target already had a Belkin soft case and Specks out yesterday. I just went ahead and bought a cheap silicone one off of ebay (there are lots) to have something to cover it with but then have time to find what I really want.

A Speck case for iPhone 5? Hard to believe. They don't even have any on their website yet.

I'm waiting for Power Support to make Protective HD Films for the i5 before I purchase the phone...hopefully around that time better cases with reviews will be out also

I have an Invisible Shield HD coming, and I just ordered an Incipio Feather from incipio's website. Will be here on Saturday :)

I got the black version of this. My wife insisted that I order the case on Thursday since I was going to (at the time attempt) to preorder the phone (I was successful and happily will get it Friday, barring any issues). I got the case Monday and it is actually pretty sleek while appearing to be pretty tough.

Case Mate iPhone 5 Tough Case

It's similar to this one I'm thinking of ordering today. I'm not a fan of these but I think it will do for a few months until something nicer comes out.

Hopefully they have some cool designed Incase' ones coming out soon.

My wife loves the Incase Slider, but I prefer something more minimal like their SNAP cases, or even lighter is the Feather from INCIPIO. Have that on my iPhone 4S and it's done surprisingly well. It's taken a couple of drops and not damaged my phone.

Those cases are all profoundly abysmal. Why buy a phone that looks like it was made like a $5000 Breitling watch only to wrap it in a case that looks like it was made by Fisher Price?

So far the minimalistic Apple style bumper replica cases are the only cases that really fit the phone's quality and style.

I usually buy my cases off of eBay. I originally had just a slider case coming (whenever the seller gets around to shipping it) but then bought a hard/soft dual case last night that I'm hoping gets her Saturday or Monday. I'm not as worried about the case as I am the screen protectors, since I'm pretty sure I can keep my phone safe for a few days while I wait.

I wanted to get a case in time for Friday and for the time being until something better comes out. Damn case still hasn't shipped out so I'm considering cancelling it and ordering something else.

I got this one cause I liked the Bumper apple made and it was cheap...

But I might consider this one for a little better protection on the back...

Anyone else get a case for this Friday they can recommend??, Would prefer Amazon as with Prime I can get it by Friday.

Thanks

i purchased the "tough" case from case-mate last friday after i ordered the iphone. last i checked, these cases were in stock. in fact, i got the cases this past monday, and it's in my glove compartment now. all i need is my phone. this probably won't be the case i use the most, but it'll be what i use until the brand of cases i prefer finally come out. when i got the 4 in 2010, case-mate was one of the only legit places that had cases in stock to tide me over until i got a candyshell.

Edit: i purchased this case, because there were several different colors. i got the emerald/chartreuse for myself, and the purple/teal for my mother.

Thats what I was talking about. The snap ones take minimal space but do the job. Had one for i4 that took a few drops before the top edge cracked a little. But was totally worth it protecting my iphone.

Went with the clear skin for it from Best Skins Ever. I got it for my iPad and really liked it.

Otterbox Defender from Amazon

I ordered a Otterbox Defender from Amazon. It should be delivered Saturday or Monday. I will have a day or two to be extra careful.

The Otterbox line has served me well. My iPhone 4 has lasted over 2 years with out a scratch.
