I’m in the same boat. I have the 15 Pro and wondering if I should’ve went with the Pro Max because of how this years Max’s are now lighter and slightly smaller and with rounded off edges, they just feel a lot better in the hand.

I may take advantage of Verizon’s 30 day return/exchange. I think I’m gonna put in for an exchange for the 15 Pro Max and just use the Pro until the Max arrives. Then I will decide which to keep. Anyone thinking of doing the same? The 13 and 14 Pro Max’s just felt like bricks to me.
I also felt the 14 PM was like a brick, so much so that I complained to my bf when I had to use his phone (dramatic). I used my 13 mini while I erased my 14 Pro and set up the 15 PM, so it was the biggest difference I could have had, and I’m still liking the 15 PM. It does definitely feel heavier in my pocket, but I’m enjoying the screen size and battery so far. It doesn’t feel as cumbersome at all to me, and I was pretty bothered by it before.

That’s good to know! I definitely want to try the Max. Do you feel like the 15 Pro Max is easier to use one handed than the 14 Pro Max due to the rounded edges, being lighter and the slightly smaller width?

I do think the width difference helps. I’m not sure how one-handed I ever used my phones, but I don’t notice this phone being difficult or requiring any adjustments. And I’m on the smaller side. I can reach completely across it and just a little below Dynamic Island. No complaints!

Had the XS max, then the 11 pro max. After that I skipped 12, then got regular 13 - current regular sized phones.

No intent to go back to max for me, I like the smaller phone and find it has plenty of screen for entertainment, video editing and photo processing.

Just tried the max from my GF. It’s too big for me and I had every max/plus version since the 6 (till 12 max)

It’s too big in the pockets especially in my running shorts. Couldn’t run with that

Ever since getting the phone on Friday, this has been at the top of my mind. Seriously considering switching to the Pro Max. Came from a 12 Pro and the 15 Pro seems too small for some reason.

Was gonna get the pro max but switched to the plus
cheaper, battery lasts longer, and does everything I need it to
don’t need 120hz or telescoping lens

I moved up to the PM this year. My last 'large' phone was the 8 Plus. After that I have been rocking the regular size phones. IMO the XS Max through 14 Max phones were too unwieldy and unbalanced.
In contrast, the 15 PM doesn't try to tip out of my hand when holding it one-handed. However, it's still a huge phone. With a case, it would probably be too big for me. Instead, I use a wallet on the back to aid with grip.

Returned my 15 pro and picked up a pro max today. Was on a 14 pro max previously. Way easier to handle the 15pm due to the rounded edges and lighter weight. I wanted to like the smaller phone but couldn’t get used to battery life and screen size.

Went from the XS Max to the 11PM to the 13P and currently have the 15P. The max size definitely has its benefits but, to me, portability is key. I love having my phone in my pocket and not being bothered at all by it. It just slips in perfectly. Pro is the perfect size IMO. The times when I really want a bigger screen are typically at home, in which case I have an iPad or MBP that I can use.

I just got my 15Pro and some of me wishes I got the max now.

It’s so light and feels good in the hands. Might do a switch

Anyone else with me?

I had the pro max in my hand at the Apple Store so I felt it.
I went with the Pro this year. 14PM is a brick. Although the 15PM is 20 grams lighter the 14 PM, the 15 Pro is 30 grams lighter than the 15 PM. The screen really doesn't show you much more if you compare websites, apps, etc.

Returned my 15 Pro. Tempted to get either a Pro Max or a Plus. I wouldn’t really miss the ProMotion and the camera differences from my 14 Pro to the Plus aren’t too huge.

Thinking of doing this. What was your phone previous to the Plus? Any cons about the Plus at all?

I would say Go Big or Go Home but I have no problems with my Samsung S23. I have the 14PM and Xiaomi 12t, waiting for my 15PM.

It's hard carrying two PHABLET size phones.

I am going for the ergo of the Pro. Having smaller hands then normal for a man I kind of sort of half heartily asked about a Pro Max but ended up getting the Pro because of the size of the Pro. Am I returning heck no I really like the size of the Pro. since I traded my 14 Pro and the slightly smaller size of the outer shell of the this edition I am really enjoying it more as everything is now reachable on this one.

I never cared for an overly large iPhone and the 15 Pro Max is just too big for me. since god gave me smaller hands I fit the iPhone to the size of my hands.

Yeah, I think I’m staying with my pro after the weekend with it.

Just feels to good to use one handdd and it’s lighter and I’m usually around a charger so not worried about battery life.

What I noticed with the max: I didn’t use my MacBook and iPad anymore. Both were expensive so making sure I use them when on the couch. Therefore just 3-4h SOT with my iPhone pro.

I ended up using the 14 Pro mostly last year and I don't mind the switch to the 15 Pro Max at all. The bigger screen is nice and maybe it's due to the fact that the phones are all lighter this year. Just doesn't feel as big.

I did it when I transitioned from the 11PM to the 13P. I assure you it wasn’t all that difficult.
I guess it all depends on everyone’s way of using the device. During commute and during breaks at work I use my phone for YouTube 99% of the time, so I value the biggest possible screen with the best resolution and the best battery life. I have no issues pocketing the Pro Max in my different pieces of clothing either.

Can your reach all buttons on the screen without adjusting your hands? If not, it isn't fine for you.
The only phone I have ever been able to use one handed is the mini. I have tiny hands. Tried the 13 pro for a little while but it was still a two handed device for me and since I have to use two hands anyway I got the 14 pro max. Much better ergonomically for two handed use than the pro imo

The amount of screen space gained in most apps is disappointing IMO. Formatting quirks and layouts mean you don't gain a strictly linear extra amount of visible information. It was not a huge loss for me when I dropped size to the 13 Pro a couple of years ago.

Where I've found the bigger screen to be useful is in typing accuracy, gaming and watching videos, and accessibility style increases in font sizes or screen rendering.

My sweet spot for size is probably right in between the Pro and Pro Max, sadly.

Why is that a bizarre request? The Pro Max is too large for the vast majority of people to be able to use their phone with a single hand, but not for him. Like I said, he must have insanely large hands!
And if he has, so what? Why should you care? Why would you like a photo?

Bizarre, weird, and creepy. Sure there a lot of niche sites online to satisfy you.

My friend doesn’t believe it so like what are some of those niche sites? So I can tell my friend
