If the rumors of a small upgrade are true AND they wait until September, I see a lot of people with upgrades switching to Android devices. Sure, 4G isn't even available in most areas, but 4G is the hot new thing, and to people who dont really know about stuff like that, a 4G phone is way better than a 3G regardless of whether they can make use of the 4G network or not.

I am not sure about the US but the UK has not got the capacity for 4G yet and I think people are savvy enough to know whether they'll really be able to take advantage of it.

The big question I think is whether the small upgrade is true and if it is, you are right, people will flock to android because iPhone will be too far behind. The 3.5" screen is outdated, really outdated. I can't imagine going to android but the SG2 has certainly got me thinking.

In the US, there are some areas with 4G, and all the carriers advertise how amazing their 4G network is, but in reality its not even available in many if not most of the country. However, they won't tell you that, you have to go look up your region online. Alot of people think they have access to 4G because they are on a carrier who has it.

Its not available in my area, so I couldn't care less if it was 4G, but then I also cannot wait until September and wouldn't want to anyways if it is actually a 4S instead of a 5.

4G, at least LTE on Verizon is not ready. They've had several outages so far so until they patch that issue, I highly doubt Apple will jump on LTE. I think they might make the next iPhone LTE capable but turn off the feature until the network is ready.

I agree. While Verizon's LTE is great when it works, there are often too many problems with it. I think Verizon might've rushed LTE a bit too fast ... but they really could use it. Their EVDO network isn't exactly up to par with the 3G networks of T-Mobile and AT&T.
