The two I bought seem to be just fine.

I can't suggest replacing either an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus with these new models simply because theirs no compelling reason.

If Pink is your color then that's a reason. Beyond that the other differences are nice but not must haves as I see it.

One that I bought was the Pink for my wife. The space grey replaced my son's 5S.

My 6 Plus is doing well, so I will pass since Apple has failed to make the 6S Plus a compelling phone that I would feel is a must have worthwhile upgrade.

Welp, as of today I have officially returned my 6s. Don't have the patience, time, or sanity to try and hunt down a perfect display. I will stick with my 6, which accurately and evenly displays whites. This alone easily triumphs 3D touch and any new features.

Not returning but maybe exchanging. I went from the 6plus to a 6s because of the size but holding my new 6s feels like I am holding a toy. I am going to give it a few more days to see if I adjust to it but since I got the 6s I have been missing my plus. I complained about the plus so much and now I regret having made the switch to the smaller 6s.:(

I probably wouldn't have bothered getting a 6S if I had the 6. However, the difference between the 6S Plus and the 6 Plus is much more and makes that upgrade worthwhile. The iphone 6 was ok. The iphone 6 Plus was a piece of crap. JMO.

Performance is night and day. The 6 Plus stuttered, lagged, refreshed both apps and tabs too much, and sucked to use to be honest. The 6S Plus fixes this. Add in OIS for video.

Either you are exaggerating or lying. It is NOT night and day.

I'm going to be doing a return, but let me explain why.

Had an iPhone 6, pre-ordered the 6S, and separately bought a 6S Plus. Everyone raves about the Plus models. I was curious what life is like with a 5.5-inch display.

I'm giving the Plus a fair chance to win me over, but a week from now, one of these devices is going back to the Apple Store.

I created a thread on the headphone volume issue but got no responses. Glad someone else noticed

To my ears music playback is considerably inferior on the 6S+ over my 6+. I've had time to try out some more demanding phones and it is the worst iPhone I have heard.

This and the thicker glass (a guy in another thread here says it's no longer like you are touching the content) on the 6S+ seem to be a step back for the features I am interested in so I am sticking with my 6+ which is flawless.

I've already printed my return label and will wait to see if they can fix the design in iPhone 7. Oh well.

Made the decision. Swapping out the 6s Plus for a 6s tomorrow evening. It hurts my thumbs/wrists too much. :(

No. I came from a 4 and DH came from an old school cell phone. We are loving our 6s's.

Dont get me wrong I like the phone. The speed is definitely an improvement but here is why im not completely sold yet
- Touch ID may be TOO fast. I much prefer to the old way to leave your finger on it for a second before it opens.
- The sound quality on my old 6 seemed better/louder. May be just me need more testing.
- Vibration is too quiet now. I cant feel it vibrate in my pocket.
- Thought I would like LivePhotos but seems gimmicky after I used it. Dont see myself using it really
- Even though the camera is 12mp now I dont see that much difference in quality compared to the 6.
- Thought reception would be better since it supports T-Mobile Band 12 (Available in my area) but dont see any difference.

But I do like phone I love 3D touch, cant wait for more apps to start using it. Love the speed and improved RAM (no more refreshing). Most likely I'll keep it but those are just my concerns.

That's because MP doesn't directly relate to quality increase. The quality of photos MOSTLY lies in the sensor and the lenses... the MP dictates the SIZE of the pic (Or more specifically, how many pixels the image can max at). I challenge you to take a pic in good lighting on a 6, and a 6s... then print both photos on an 8x10, I promise you the 6s pic will look leagues better.

The two gigs of RAM in this phone and the speed is a revelation. I can't get apps or Safari tabs to reload at all.

Game changer for me. Best iPhone upgrade in forever, and I went from a 6 to 6s.

The loudspeaker is the one area where the 6+ is better than the 6S+ for me. I definitely preferred the speaker which to these ears has the nicest tone of any mobile phone speaker on the market. I wonder why Apple didn't leave well alone.
I don't use ear/headphones and didn't on my 6+ either, so I can't comment on that aspect.

So in other words you have not read a single review before you bought the phone. Everything you mentioned was common knowlege for weeks.

Yes, im returning mine - 6s+. I'll switch back to Apple when they decide to put an AMOLED/OLED display in their iPhones. I was doing some display testing last night in a dark room where I typically would be viewing the phone for media purposes and there is a night and day difference in the blacks. During any black/partially black scene my Note 3's display is practically not even there (as in looks to be completely turned off) vs. a dull/dark/gray on the 6s+ when it should be black. Albeit the 6s+ has brighter whites, no level of brightness adjustment could match the contrast ratio of the Note3's 2 yr old display. This is true for every scene and it creates a vast difference in depth and visual contrast, but it ultimately is a technology hardware difference. The display tech inside the 6s+ simple isn't capable of displaying pure black or "off" as an OLED is. And this saddens me because I was ready for the switch and I had to see it to believe it.

If the Note 3 didn't already produce stunning 4k, then I may be able to deal with the dull grayish blacks on the 6s+, but because by switching I am loosing out to what in my opinion is a superior display (from 2 years ago) I would keep the 6s+ and Apple would likely win my business for life. I think rather I will complain about the lack of OLED tech inside this phone for the entire year and maybe Apple will decide on this change in the iPhone7 - then I'll switch. I'm working on producing a comparison review between the features that I care about (display/4k video quality) and hope to have that done sometime this week.

Other than the display technology, the 6s+is quick and fantastic.

LOL. Watching movies on a 5 inch screen.

Get a real screen to watch a film. Start with at least a 60 inch 4k TV or get with the big boys with a 115 inch projector.

And why the heck are you watching media on a phone in pitch dark.......never mind.

Not me.

- Love 3D Touch. I'm already missing it whenever I use my other phone (S6 Edge+).
- Headphone sound is excellent on mine and just as good as with my 6+. (And I listen to LOTS of music so this is very important to me.)
- Live Photos are very fun. There's some jerkiness to the framerate that makes them jumpy sometimes, and I hope they fix that. If they do, I'll be using them all the time.
- Everything is silky smooth and everything maintains state between uses so multitasking is faster and enjoyable.
- Faster fingerprint recognition is a nice perk.

Absolutely not. This phone is what the 6 should have been and why most people should be on S models — the first design of numbered phones are beta tests to what the S model ends up being.

I do think 3D Touch will be a major game changer once more apps utilize it. It's the right click of the mobile world, and that is most-certainly a feature iOS needs. Live Photos is something that can be incredible as well, even if it's silly sometimes. I already check on every time — that'll be another feature that all other mobile phones need to catch up on to stay current.

This phone is actually really revolutionary, but not many people will notice it because it looks the same. It's the big step towards many major new changes for the iPhone and the iPhone 6 was just "thinner, bigger screen". This phone actually has a lot of new tech and concepts that I'm happy to see Apple perfect that others have tried.

Yup. Too heavy. Wish it were same thickness and weight as the six. Hope they figure it out with the 7. Back to my trusty 5s.

I believe it is night and day.

I have 6+ and play with 6s+ at apple store. it is NOT night and day. in fact, A9 is only 30% faster than A8 on paper. In reality, it is much less. 2GB of RAM only matters when you are power user with 10+ browser tabs. iphone is not like desktop where you can open multiple apps at the same time and need alot of RAM. 6s is an evolution, like very year release, and it is NOT revolution, like you describe.

if you compare with iphone 3G, 6s might be night and day.

nah, mobile phone is very mature now. revolution is no longer applied. iphone 2G was the first of its kind and was a revolution. all other releases later are just evolution.

Last year ipad air 2 got lighter, thinner, 2GB RAM, A8X, ID Touch, etc. but it was hardly revolution compared to ipad air.

3D Touch might be something useful once all apps support it. right now it is just a novelty. by the time iphone 7 come out, there will be more apps supporting 3D Touch. ID Touch has been out for 2 years already, major apps like Bank of America, American Express just recently support ID Touch. At least ID Touch was useful in daily use for logging in.

I'm going to return mine. It was an impulse buy, and the money back will be useful right now anyway.

The 6S Plus has an annoying problem where seemingly every model has this pressure point near the bottom on the left side, and to me it's very distracting even when I'm not looking at it, because every setting page and website is white, and it shows to me especially in lower brightness settings. Spec and performance wise it's a really nice device, but I want to wait until November or December and see if some of these problems are hammered out.
