My dad used to work in aerospace so the contracts TRW/Rockwell had moved us around quite frequently. Business trips he took us along on and because of air miles earned family trips.

My son works in the aerospace industry. That's what got Washington colored in on all our "I've been there" maps. In fact, we're going again soon. He takes frequent business trips and gets FF miles to come home. To pile up the miles, it helps a lot when he goes to Kazan.

Driving to CA to visit mom, as quickly as possible. The Siskiyou pass should be clear this next weekend, though we’re supposed to get snow this Tuesday and Wednesday. 7 hours of boring but will be good run for the new Jeep Then 6 glorious days at home

I'm sitting in JFK right now. The adventure started at 0500 (11 hours ago) today and should end tomorrow at 1400.

I wasn't to bad using trains to get here, it took a little longer but was significantly cheaper and less stressful. Amtrak to Penn, LIRR from Penn to Jamaica, the air train to the terminal.

No, I'm not traveling. It is supposed to be getting really cold here in a couple of days. On Christmas day the high is only going to be in the low 20s.
 
I am remaining where I am for Christmas; and the New Year. The weather is seasonally tropical.

However, I'll head home in late January for a few weeks and most certainly plan to take an extended leave break for Easter., a time of the year that I love.

While you hope your engineer is not doing 80 in a 30mph zone. ;) They put 2 pilots on the plane. I wonder why not on trains, if there is only one person up there? (I don’t know, but assume not.)
