Holy crap. I see around $1700 on eBay. 1500 is a big drop. Not sure if it’s worth selling unless you really need top performance. At this point how low can it go? Even when AS 16 comes out it’s not like the 2019 model will be $1000 used.
No kidding. I bought my GF the $1499 base model at Microcenter 4 months after I bought a used i9 1TB for $2100 that was selling at Microcenter for $1900. I was rather annoyed after feeling $2100 was good.

The problem is that price is just going to drop lower and lower. Likely $1000 by the time M2 rolls around. So the question is do you really need the MBP 16's screen real estate, bootcamp, dGPU, 32gb of ram or larger than 2TB SSD?

At this point I'm sort of hoping there is not a last Intel soft release. I'm planning on getting a barely used 5600m for cheap

If the base model MB16-AS out performs the top spec MB16-Intel, nobody is going to buy a MB16-Intel for more than the AS base model price. Except for the few who absolutely need Bootcamp or eGPUs.
