I have these that I use for 95% of the time with my iPhone and iPad. They sound pretty good, but I really like how well they stay in my ears (especially when working out). I had the more expensive Apple ones, but they would constantly fall out of my ears.

The only downside with the Bose ie's, is I find they don't work very well on planes. For traveling I use these:

I just got back from a 4 hour flight last night that had two screaming babies. I love how I can just turn these on and tune out the world.

My next major purchase will probably be the B&Ws. I recently purchases MM-1's and I've been really impressed by the sound quality.

I use AKG K702 into an iBasso D6 USB portable headphone amp, with a 12V rechargeable lithium battery and dual Wolfson DACs, connected to a iPad connection kit.

This works really well, but you need an amp for the these Akg's.

for decent sound without an amp I use Koss Porta-Pros, or Sennheiser HD 280's or Sennheiser PX-100 (which sound pretty good for lightwieght, cheap Phones).

I've found that it's a toss up between the PX-100 and the Porta-Pros (for anyone interested)....Old rivals :D

beats/bose are terribly overpriced but not as bad as people will make them seem.

Ultrasone Pro 900 :) but usually Sleek Audio SA6 The ipad doesn't do that good of a job with the Ultrasones

Do you use/need an amp for those?

For these one no amp. If you step up to the higher end studio cans then an amp is def needed.

The thing with AKG cans is that they have such a timeless look, they've been in the audio game longer then most mentioned here.

The 701's definitely need An amp. They are pretty good and very well priced.

I just got recently the new Sony Z1000, would like to try the beyerdynamic T50p one day.

UE-10's for me. Six separate drivers - sound so crisp and clean I feel as if i'm sitting in an acoustically tuned private concert with my selected artist lol.

thanks for the info on the headphone and i just order a set from Amazon

I've used these Bose on-ear headphones for probably a little over two years. I know there are a lot of people who probably don't like Bose and would say they could find a better product for the money, but I've really enjoyed these headphones and love them.

I've used these basically every day since I've owned them, and I've never regretted purchasing them.

Those are some great cans, I have the same pair... Though I prefer using my Shure SE-530. Heres a review..

Didn't like the Beats by Dre tour.. I had problems with the jack losing its connection to my ipad, and it doesn't fit with my otterbox on my iphone 4. And it sounds like the forgot about having any bass..

Same here. Had mines for some time now. Excellent build quality and even better sound.

I also use a Sennheiser CX500s and Shure E2Cs. You can also check out Head-Direct RE0s. If you are on a budget, check out SoundMagic PL30s and PL50s.

I use the s4i's with iPod Shuffle on bicycle rides and my iPad 2 when necessary. Got s4i because I use to own an iPhone 4. Very comfortable! :)
