Anyone using Boom 3D...

... (upgrading from Boom2) and can tell if it is worth the money? Is there a noticeable difference in sound quality compared to Boom2?

I upgraded from Boom 2 to Boom 3D, and with my system I am unable to detect any appreciable difference. For sure, no difference worth the cost. Perhaps those with high end speakers/headphones (or younger ears) can justify the additional expense, I cannot.

FWIW: I like Boom, but in this case, I paid too much for it.

Just came across this app randomly and it seems all the reviews are awesome. Do we have any fellow forum member using it? I would like to have some reviews from the guys here before buying it. Please mention the headphone you are using to experience the enhanced audio.

It wasn't for me, I generally use headphones and it didn't seem to improve the sound on my iMP (which has pretty decent speakers...).

You can DL a full-featured 7-day trial directly from their website and judge for yourself.

I regularly Facetime with a 90 year old friend whose voice is thin and raspy. I got Boom 3D because I was hoping to amp up the midrange so that I wouldn't have to wear headphones.

I failed to notice that Boom 3D doesn't work with Facetime.

So I uninstalled it, because it didn't do what I wanted it for. It's not Boom's fault although I think they could have put that restriction a little more front and center.

I use everyday. It´s fantastic. The sound of Mac increases a lot. Great App for music lovers

Me. I have used it for a long time and it does improve the sound and volume on my MacBook a lot.

I've got a new Macbook M3 and the improvement from my sound with the Boom 3D is significant. It's 25$ for lifetime so it's very worth it. Don't they have a free trial? Maybe they do
